Ash has pushed her for the last time. This time she was going to do something about it! For once having three sisters was coming in handy. No one said Misty couldn't battle without getting punished.
That night she snuck into town and bought a few vital things for her revenge. Then she snuck towards Ash's sleeping bag and rooted around for the pouch on his bag where his Poke' balls were kept. Tomorrow would be very interesting to say the least.
Brock had heard Misty sneaking about, but didn't question it. Misty HAD been a Gym Leader and after Ash's comment, he thought Ash deserved whatever cruel and unusual torture Misty had in store for him.
The next day had them walking around in circles again. Ash was trying to read a map, which was currently upside down. Brock was just walking, thinking about the town they should be entering. Misty was doing her usual nagging. Finally the woods gave way to a small town with a large pond in the middle. Perfect, Misty thought smiling to herself. This was the perfect opportunity to exact her revenge and prove to Ash that she could battle as good as he can.
"Ash!" Misty shouted suddenly and made both Ash and Brock jump out of their skins."I challenge you to a Pokémon Battle!"
Ash smirked. There was no way Misty could win against him. He was the very best after all. "Alright, Misty, I accept your offer!"
The battle lasted a good five minutes as Misty pulled out one of her newer Pokémon. It was a Krabby she had just caught the other day, but was already very strong. Ash decided to use his Charizard. He reached to his belt grabbed the Poke' ball. "I CHOOSE YOU, CHARIZARD!" Ash cried with his usual velocity.
Nothing happened, so he tried again. Meanwhile Misty was busy giving careful instructions to her Pokémon. Ash had finally had enough and threw the ball onto the ground only to watch it bounce up high into the sky.
"Krabby, use water gun, then use pinch!" Misty sent Krabby into battle and Ash had nothing. Misty smirked. This was exactly how it was in her mind.
Ash was busy seeing if all his poke' balls were mere replicas, and to his dismay they were. Suddenly Ash was wet and there was a sharp pain in his left leg. He looked down and saw Krabby.
"Hey Misty! That's a cheap shot, attacking me with one of your Pokémon when I don't have any!" It was as if a light bulb went off in his brain. "YOU did this! You made sure I didn't have any before challenging me! You are such a cheater!"
Misty strolled over to him. "I'll give you your Pokémon back if you take back what you said yesterday about me not being able to battle." Ash decided that, instead of complying, he was going to push his luck even further. "But Misty, you CAN'T battle.'
Misty glared before looking at Krabby. "Ice beam Krabby!" Krabby shot a beam of ice towards Ash and within seconds he was stuck. (A/N I know Krabby probably can't do this attack, but humor me, ok?) Misty stretched. "Wow all that attacking and laughing sure made me hungry. How 'bout you Krabby? Maybe we can find a cheap diner nearby.'
Misty could hear Ash yelling all the way to the town's plaza. It was music to her ears.
