Jack's Mark

Disclaimer – I don't own any part of 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' although I do own part of a pirate. But that's a whole nother fanfic. XD
1 : Thinking
Six pairs of eyes were locked on Barbossa as he made his way down the stairs. Pintel and Ragetti shared a panicked look, quickly using each other as a shield. Their former-captain let his eyes drift among the group.
"So…how's the Pearl?"
Elizabeth glanced at the ground, memories plaguing her. It went down with its true captain, who I chained to the mast, by the way.
"Elizabeth?" Will's voice broke her out of her thoughts and she did her best to look at him. Ever since they had abandoned ship—and captain—looking her fiance in the eyes had been a difficult task. How would she be able to explain that one?
"Elizabeth, why are you acting so odd?"
"Well, because Will. While you were off being heroic and honorable, trying to save all of our lives, I was up on deck, sucking face with our drunken captain. Now whenever I look at you, I see the smile on his face when I chained him up. ………No, Will. Not like that. I'm the reason we have to go on this horrid trek to God-knows-where. I chained him to his beloved ship and left him for dead."
"Wait, you kissed Jack?"
"Yes, but…I did it for you!"
"I could have done it myself, thank you!"
Elizabeth shook her head, fresh tears forming in her eyes. She would never be able to forget the look on Jack's face when she cuffed him to the mast—a mix of amusement and respect.
Even though she had said she wasn't sorry, she was. All she had wanted to do was to save Will and herself. It was the only way.
If only she could convince herself of that.
"Well?" Barbossa growled. "Where is she?"
Gibbs frowned, stepping in front of the group. "Cap'n, sir. She sank…with Jack on'er."
Barbossa raised an eyebrow. "So, that's why we're goin' the the end of the world, eh? Fetch back dear ol' Jack?"
"Aye, sir! New captain, sir," Ragetti offered, earning him a shove from his best friend.
"You dogs think you can sail under Barbossa?" he asked, surveying the people in front of him.
Ragetti and Pintel nodded quickly. "Aye!" they both chimed in. Gibbs lowered his head and muttered under his breath, "Aye." Elizabeth looked up and met her former-foe's gaze. "Yes…" Will glanced out the door and pursed his lips together. "Aye…"
Tia Dalma smiled proudly. "Aye, Cap'n."
"Then it's settled." He smirked, taking another bite of his apple. "Now all we need is a ship."
Was it an okay start? R&R, please. It's pretty short, but I think I'm going to make all of the chapters this short. I'll try and update more frequently, though.
