"It's just, when I'm around you, I feel uncomfortable

"It's just, when I'm around you, I feel uncomfortable."

Ritsuka stared, eyes widening in shock. He had just cried, after telling his fighter to smile. He had asked Soubi to meet him behind the school, since he had noticed his fighter's down attitude. He was going to going to get it out of him, he thought that he would help him out in any way he can, he treasured him after all.

"What's wrong? Tell me, you've been too down and silent lately. Just tell me what's wrong? Please…" Ritsuka begged.

"Well, let's just say I will and am doing to you what you did to them, especially with the last guy you had just been with. I guess I'm hinting it now, but I can't not be blunt."

The tears fell from his eyes, and slowly he conjured up a smile.

"Well, you know, that's what friends are for. I'll do anything to make you happy, ne?"

Another smile.

Soubi didn't say anything, he looked at Ritsuka only. And Ritsuka saw that his blue eyes knew nothing. Didn't know that Ritsuka loved him for months, wept of it constantly, withstood all his mentions of his new love, and the smiles and joy he faked to stay beside him. It's as if his eyes said, I don't know anything. What's been going on? Tell me, tell me…for I know nothing of what's happened… Ritsuka couldn't choke the tears.

His insides had broken like glass pieces. It was over. Everything's completely over. No matter what he did, there was nothing that could stop what was happening. He felt his heart break down inside, everything had sunk around him. He couldn't move. That was too much for him to handle.

"I'm so sorry, I'm just so sorry, I'm so so sorry…" was all Ritsuka could manage as his tear fell. So much tears. Of course he would never say, even for his life. His most precious treasure was Soubi's joy.

"There's nothing to apologize for. Not everything's your fault."

Ritsuka looked away. "I'm so sorry…" Those blue eyes he couldn't stand to look at without crying. Those eyes that knew nothing. Those eyes that would never know his painful, yet strong love, his faked happiness, his dedication, everything!

"I'm just so sorry…"

"…"

"But, if that's what you want, then that's okay." Another fake one. "It's fine, really…if it makes you happy, then I shall be happy with it too…" A tear escaped out of his shaky smile.

He looked at those eyes again.

"I-I'm sorry but I gotta go. My friends are waiting." Soubi began to turn.

"Oh, okay. Sure. I'll see ya, ok?" Ritsuka got out of his mouth.

Soubi waved as he turned. "I'll see ya." Then he jogged off to his friends nearby.

Ritsuka turned the other way and started to walk. He had just cried, but if he kept crying as he walked, the other students will see him along the way. He can't have that. His face and eyes were red, and he walked even faster, avoiding people. He can cry later when he is alone, not in class or school for the matter.

Is that it? Is that everything left? After everything that happened…all the memories, love and bullshit! Is that it? Is this how everything ends? Just like this? So painful and abrupt..

Ritsuka blinked away the tears. There was nothing left. Nothing, but pain.

It had ended, just like this.

It had ended in 5 short minutes.

It had ended with a few words, but many thoughts and tears.

It had ended out of "friendship".

It had ended with only small sentences.

Everything had ended with pain.

And so,

We might pass each other in a hallway one day…

…eyes unaverted, heading the other way..

…without a word nor a passing glance…

…as if ..

…we never kissed..

…felt each other's skin…

…shared the same feeling…

…or mixed tears…

…as if…

…nothing ever happened…

…between us two strangers.

"Love is a game that can turn strangers to lovers…

and lovers to strangers." -A friend's quote
