She found him out on one of the balconies.
"Ronon?"
But he didn't respond.
She walked up to him and placed her hand gently on his shoulder.
"Ronon?"
His head snapped down so that his eyes could meet hers.
"Teyla."
She could tell that he had been lost in thoughts. She removed her hand from his shoulder, not wanting to disturb him.
"I am sorry, I did not mean to disturb you, I can leave."
"No." He said and gently grabbed her wrist so that she wouldn't leave. "I've been wanting to talk to you, do you have a minute?"
She smiled softly. "Of course."
He let go of her wrist and looked back out over the water.
She knew that he didn't usually talk too much about things if he could help it, but it seemed he really needed to this time, although it was probably a bit hard for him.
"Do you feel at home here?" He asked after a moment.
She frowned, not knowing why he asked but she answered anyway.
"Yes. It took a while but Atlantis is my home now."
He nodded. "When we've defeated the Wraith, what do you think will happen? Do you think they will stay here or leave the city and go back to Earth?"
"I do not know. I believe some of them would want to stay and others would want to leave. But I don't know what those in command will decide to do with Atlantis when the threat of the Wraith is gone. Are you thinking about leaving, Ronon?" She asked, hoping that he was not.
He looked at her and smiled. "No. There are 300 of my people on different worlds and when the Wraith are gone I don't know what they'll do. Maybe they will go back to Sateda or maybe they will just go on where they are, deciding that Sateda is forever destroyed." He looked down. "I don't know what to do if they leave. Even if my people decide to go back I don't know if I can. And if they do leave and my people don't go back, then I have nowhere to go."
"Ronon." She said soothingly and put her hand on his shoulder again. "It is much too soon to worry about this. They might not leave Atlantis at all, and if they were to leave you will always have a place among my people. You have done a lot for them, for us."
He looked into her eyes and smiled gratefully.
They didn't notice when John Sheppard stepped out onto the balcony, not until he spoke.
"There you are!" Sheppard exclaimed. "Come on, are you ready? We have a mission."
Ronon and Teyla looked at him and then back at each other.
"Yeah." Said Ronon.
Teyla smiled
"We are ready." She added.
