Okay, when I saw this episode, the idea for this sprang into my mind. I just had to write it down!

Hope you enjoy this little one-shot!

"Come on, you're a thousand years old, you've got to have something you treasure!"

The Doctor looked doubtful. He shook his head. "No, nothing important. The only thing I have is my sonic screwdriver, and that actually comes in handy."

Clara looked behind her. "But that little girl, Mary. We can't just leave her there!" The Doctor noted that she took a deep breath. She was pulling a ring off her finger. "It was my mother's." She explained. Seeing the pain in her eyes as she handed it over, the Doctor felt a flash of guilt. He swept it away though, climbing onto the Moped.

He grinned at her. "You coming?" Clara had nodded, smiling back at him. Though the Doctor noticed she cast a final look at the ring as they took off.

The Doctor pulled Clara's ring from out of his jacket. He grinned as her eyes widened.

"How'd you get this?" She asked, taking the ring.

"They wanted you to have it." The Doctor lied, hoping she wouldn't notice. She didn't appear to, only asking why.

"You saved them, Clara. They wanted you to have it, for saving them."

Clara smiled, slipping the ring onto her finger. "Thanks. Bye Doctor." She hugged him, before turning back to the house and stepping inside. The Doctor waved as she shut the door.

He strolled back to the TARDIS, whistling. Once inside, he shut the door, and closed his eyes as a memory enveloped him.

"Clara, wait in the TARDIS, I have to do something." The Doctor rushed off as Clara nodded.

He quickly arrived at the Moped sale, where the 'dog lady', as the Doctor liked to call her, was tidying up her stall, cleaning things.

He spoke normally to the lady, knowing the TARDIS would translate. "That ring. That the girl gave to you? Could I have it back?"

The 'dog lady' looked suspicious. "For a price, yes."

The Doctor pulled out Amy's set of glasses. "Will you take these?" The 'dog lady' took them, before examining them.

"You treasure these a lot, don't you?" The Doctor nodded, remembering the Ponds. Amy's flaming ginger hair, Rory in his Roman outfit. His heart ached, and he wanted nothing more than to take the glasses back, go back on the deal, offer her something else. But he knew nothing else would work.

The 'dog lady' nodded. "I'll take them." She handed him back the ring, and the Doctor put it in his coat pocket. The Doctor looked at the glasses one last time.

"Goodbye, Ponds." He breathed, before heading back to the TARDIS.

Okay, very short, and not that good a writing piece, but it's quite early where I live! *yawn*

Anyway hope you enjoyed it!
