PROLOGUE
In the heart of big city Bridgeport, lived a small, quaint family. The people of Bridgeport knew this family well. Not only was this family wealthy and popular, they were well-respected within the community. This family was the Smith's. The Smith's were a small family of four. Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Justice Smith, and Justine Smith.
Justine Smith was your typical girl next door. She was popular, smart, and gorgeous. All the guys in town wanted her, but little miss Justine only had eyes for one guy:
Joesph Fenderson
Joesph Fenderson wasn't the most popular guy at school, however, he was the Commanding Officer for both the Armed and Unarmed Drill Team in JROTC, so he was well-known around the local high school. When Joesph wasn't at school or with Justine, he worked part time at the local auto shop with his dad.
Justine and Joesph were nothing like each other. They were polar opposites. Joesph aspired to be in the Armed Forces until he died. He wasn't the kind of guy to settle down and grow old with a wife and children. Justine, on the other hand, had always wanted to find her soul mate, get married, have kids, and, eventually, have her own grandchildren. Joesph was a rebellious daredevil with a huge passion for cars. Justine was an aspiring chef, wife, and mother.
And yet, somehow, they worked well together. Despite being completely different, they had fallen for each other, hard.
They had been together ever since their sophomore year of high school, when Justine opened her locker and had hit Joesph in the nose with the locker door. They were fifteen years old when they had first met each other. Now, they were both eighteen years old and they were crazy in love.
The more time they spent together, the more they started to act alike. After Justine had crashed into his life, Joesph's plans for the future had completely changed. He wanted to settle down with Justine, father her children and grow old with her.
Justine, even though she was popular, never partied. She stayed home every night, babysitting her little sister, Justice. When, on the rare occasion she did go out with her friends, she had always returned home no later than 8:30PM. She never stayed out late after curfew. She had always done what she was suppose to do. Growing up, she had never misbehaved. She was disciplined and very obedient. She was the perfect daughter. Her baby sister adored her. Her parents constantly praised her. She always tried to to help out around the house whenever she could. Every night, she would help her father cook dinner and every weekend, she would help her mother tend to the garden. And every Sunday, she would put on her Sunday best and attend church with her family. Then she met Joesph Fenderson.
Joesph had changed her. He taught Justine how to party, to loosen up, and how to have fun with her life. Justine had loved the new person that she had become. Her parents didn't. They absolutely hated it. Justine had become the exact opposite of how they had raised her to be. They had put up with her erratic, rebellious behavior until the day she graduated high school. As soon as Justine graduated, her parents kicked her out and told her that she wasn't welcome back into their home until she cleans up her rebel act. Justine was quick to respond and told her that this is not an act, that this is "the real me, not your version of me". Justine hasn't spoken to her parents since then.
That is how Justine and Joesph had ended up living in a boat house in small town Lucky Palms.
