Tourian
As I made my way through the fiery metallic depths of Tourian, I stumbled across a sight that struck a nameless fear into my heart. The lifeless deserted Space Pirate that lay before me looked like the very life had been sucked out of it. This could be the work of the Metroid, a parasitic life form that drains the life energy of its victims. I touched the pirate with my hand only to discover that it was only a pile of sandy dust that dissolved as soon as I touched it. Even though the pirate was my enemy, I still face a greater threat today. I moved quickly along through the chambers of Tourian and encountered some Metroid's that I defeated easily with missiles from my arm cannon. I knew that those Metroid's were too young and weak to do any serious harm to the space pirate. I crept silently along the paths and I encountered two blue Sidehoppers, who apparently were not injured. I moved along to the next chamber to find a Sidehopper who was minding his own business. Then out of nowhere a gargantuan Metroid latched on to the helpless sidehopper and sucked the life out of it. Then the Metroid turned to me. Even with my latest weapons and enhancements of my power suit I couldn't avoid the Metroid's grasp. The Metroid had drained the energy of my power suit so low that I could hardly move. Then it suddenly stopped and left. I suddenly realized that the creature was the same Metroid that I had saved on planet SR388. I knew that it mistook me for an enemy and stopped just as it recognized me. I slowly gained energy back and moved on to the next chamber…
