Dry Bowser was fishing about in one of Unova's more obscure river spots as he was enjoying the rain that was pouring down, with there being plenty of Pokemon roaming around as the skeletal reptile was enjoying the time passing by slowly by virtue of waiting to reel in a fish. How and why he was fishing didn't matter.
"This is what I'm talking about. Just watching the water, waiting for that one fish to strike out..." Dry Bowser said to himself as he dusted off his hollow ribs, placing his bony grip back on his fishing rod.
"So I see that you're out fishing, eh?" A scuttling Crabominable asked while pounding her claws on the soaked grass.
"That I am." Dry Bowser responded as he turned his skull to face the crab, nodding his skull.
"I can tell that you enjoy it given the way you're sitting."
"...Is it really that say to tell?" Dry Bowser commented as he rubbed his chin. "Hmm. I have been here for quite a while."
"Well, I'll leave you to your fishing. You seem to be into it." The Crabominable said as she scuttled away into the tall grass.
"...Right, back to waiting for that fish." Dry Bowser concluded as he focused on the water, feeling his rod tug as he pulled back. "Oh now here we go...!"
Getting up, Dry Bowser took a few steps back as he wanted to ensure that he would get the fish. However, he accidentally tripped over a log, causing himself to break into a bone pile as he let go of his fishing rod, with it landing on the grass he was sitting him as it stopped vibrating, having lost the catch. The fish in particular popped up and chuckled as it waved at Dry Bowser, who growled as he bounced his skull to where his fishing rod rested, sighing as he shook his head. A Kricketune and Snover noticed as they were nearby, watching the skeletal reptile put himself back together.
"So I see that your fishing didn't go so well," The Kricketune chirped while making his nown chirping noises.
"Krikey, he raises a good point." The Snover added as a frosty mist was emitting from him.
Dry Bowser huffed as he faced the two Sinnoh Pokemon. "Oh like you two know how to fish?"
Kricketune rubbed the back of his bug head. "Well, uh... not exactly, no."
Snover raised both of his long arms. "We're not good at a lot of things."
Dry Bowser brushed his red hair back as he looked at their features. "I take it that you're not fond of, say... flames?"
Kricketune and Snover both shuddered at the mere thought as Dry Bowser formed a red fireball in his mouse, making the Pokemon hold each other as he fired it up at the sky, chuckling.
"Well that answers my question." Dry Bowser responded as he grabbed the fishing rod and sat back down. "Don't worry, I won't use it on either of you."
"...how can we be sure?" Kricketune murmured while squinting his eyes.
Dry Bowser smirked as he firmly had his bony hands hold his fishing rod. "Because what reason do I have to attack any innocent people standing by?"
Snover nodded as the grass below him froze up. "Well that makes me feel better."
