PROLOGUE
The rain that night pelted the windows. Lillian the black and white rat stood still in her cage, staring out through the bars. She popped open the door and scurried up the curtains, and on to the bookshelf beside the rain covered window. She sat down, wishing she could have just a bit more freedom. Her girl's mom did not like rats at all, so her girl never allowed Lily to roam the room. She always stayed in her cage, lonely and afraid.
Lily closed her eyes really tight. Was that a shooting star? She jumped up and squeaked with delight.
"I wish I could have more freedom," She said. "And more rats that I could talk to."
Suddenly, a little light shown in the distance. A blinding white light, coming closer and closer.
Lily then blacked out. By the window, what was a little white light, was now was a giant white light. It cloaked Lily's fur, until she had completely disappeared.
