The Final Moments

A Legolas fanfiction
~*~

The elvan archer wrapped his arms around the slender waist of the elven
princess. She fell a mere two inches below him in height, and her long
blonde hair flowed halfway down her back, pinned just to the sides so
as to avoid falling in her eyes. She had been courted many times, and
all the males she had met had been gentle, decent elves. But only one
had captured her heart. That one was the archer, the elven prince
Legolas. She looked up at him with her sky blue eyes that sparkled in
times of happiness and darkened to a stormier blue in times of anger
or sorrow.
"Leiani," he said with his soft, deep voice. "You know I must leave
with the Fellowship. In mere moments I will be called to leave."
"I will await your return, Legolas, my one. I hope your journey will
be short, but as I know it will not be, I swear I shall wait for you
for eternity if need be." Leiani replied softly, her long, soft hands
caressing the angles and lines of his face.
Legolas heard the call.
"It is time, my Leiani. I must go, now." he leaneed down and kissed her,
softly, briefly. With a final caress of her long, soft hair, and an
encouraging smile, he turned away. He had smiled only to cover the
sorrow in his heart.
"Until your return, my love." said Leiani, softly, raising her hand as
her sky blue eyes darkened to the stormy blue as she watched her true
love retreat through the woods to the meetingplace of the Fellowship.

The end.
