Disclaimer: I do not own The Vampire Diaries nor its characters. They belong to L.J. Smith, Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, The CW Network, and whoever else.

Note/Warning: Written when I needed a fluff fix for these two. Pure, pure fluff.

Right Here and Now We Are Only People

"I need to go," Anna tells him with her head nestled on his stomach, watching her left index finger lazily trace circles around his navel.

"Past your curfew?" Jeremy teases while lightly stroking the wild, tangled mess of her hair.

She giggles a little. Pokes his navel with her finger as if to reprimand him. "My mother could come looking for me, you know."

He shrugs. Moves his hand lower to feel the smoothness of her shoulder. His fingers trail to her neck and rub over her pulse; slow and steady. "Let me guess. She'll try to kill me for defiling her precious daughter?"

Anna presses her mouth to his stomach, snickering against his skin. Her right hand, smushed under his side, jabs at his ribs. "It's not a joke, you know. She very well could kill you - and not just because of this," she tells him. She's trying very hard to remain serious, but Jeremy can feel her still grinning against him.

"I know. But it's worth it." He means that, too. He knows he doesn't really understand the full rammifications, the depth of the consequences. He knows he doesn't quite grasp how far this could go. He knows he doesn't care. He knows that he's willing to face it.

Jeremy knows that he cares. He likes to think it's enough to fight for her; for this. For them.

"You sure of that?" she questions playfully. But her expression is sober when her head shifts to look up at him. She's utterly vulnerable right now beneath the creepy, perky stalker chick and the badass, pixie vamp; just a fifteen year old girl in love.

Anna is perhaps the most normal, average, human person he's met in months.

"Positive," he tells her and pulls her up. His hands cup her face, and she leans in to kiss him hungrily, and there's blood rushing under their skin - and Jeremy knows he really is positive about this - about her, about them.

Maybe Anna is incredibly human for a vampire, but this thing between then is definitely supernatural level amazing.
