Barry x OC
I had no idea where I was going. It's only my second week living in starling city, and I think it's a little unrealistic to think I won't keep getting lost for at least the first month. My car was still in the shop (I backed up into a parking meter, don't judge it happens to everyone) so I had to walk to my job. It wasn't my actual job, it was just something I did every so often. I was a part time professional pool cleaner. I recently applied for a job at the local café, but I wanted some money to pay for my basic needs: coffee, pizza, wifi, more coffee. I'm really upset that I'm missing the particle accelerator turning on, I was so deeply excited for this, it was one of the main reasons I moved here. My boss caught me lying. Life tip: never call in sick while you are in a public area, like in front of a coffee shop. In front of your bosses car. While he's still in it. So you see, this is my luck, in its most primitive form. Now, I have to work with my boss there, watching me like I'm a kid or something. It was going to be a great day.

My reminder just went off and I've been working for three hours now. Fifteen more minutes until the accelerator turns on, and I'm still filtering out this pool. Boss man Brian has been staring at me through his car window the whole time, that guy is, well, different. I am thankful he's here though, but only because he parked close enough for me to hear the radio, doctor Harrison wells is making a speech and I am getting sooo excited to find out if it works. I wish I could rant to someone about this, but as of now, I haven't met anyone that I could be good friends with. Well, I mean this is what happens when you move into the city. I was so deep in thought about how I could make the move a little smoother than it has been so far when I didn't even pay attention to the radio. Brian knows that I can get pretty excited about this stuff, so he must have noticed that I didn't start jumping around screaming, so he lowered his window.
"Hey! Olivia! That thing you where trying to get out of work to go see?"
I nodded slowly, I thought I was getting fired.
"Well, it just got turned on, and I guess it worked."
I couldn't believe I missed something this incredible, all just to clean a swimming pool.
"I guess you can go down when your finished, but I will check."
"Really? Wow. Um ah, well I'm almost done." I rambled, "Like maybe just a bit longer for the vacuum thing. You are the best! I know I don't seem like it sometimes, but I'm so great full you're my boss and you're ju-"
"I'm already going to let you leave, you can stop sucking up to me. I'll pack up too, so I won't have to deal with you until you get fired from your next job. Now get back to work." He then rolled his window up, and I could no longer hear what was going on. My brain was racing with all the possibilities and advances we could make in science when I noticed it was beginning to storm,
and it was picking up rather quickly. I decided it was time to wrap up, seeing as it was no longer safe. I could hear the lightning com ing closer and the claps of thunder, and when I looked up I saw something weird. A bright light was racing towards me as I was standing right next to the pool. When it finally reached me, there was a metallic taste in my mouth. The last thing I thought before everything went black was that boy, I really wanted some mouthwash.
