Some days he wondered how he could have been so stupidly naive to believe all the lies and filth that spewed out of the professors' mouth back when he was eleven. Back when he first learned, he was a wizard. How he could have actually thought that learning magic was the best thing ever. How he could he have ever been that dumb. How could his parents have ever fallen for the loud of crap about the wonders of the magical world.
His more spiteful side suspects compulsion charms were involved to get them all to agree. Wouldn't surprise him in the slightest if that's how they got all muggleborns to join the school. Afterall they couldn't do without there slaves now could they.
Oh we may not be actual slaves in name but we may as well be. We're just muggleborns. Worthless. Expendable. Useless Trash. The lowest of the low. We'll never amount to anything. Never have any high-ranking jobs. Never be considered worthy. We'll do all the work and the Purebloods will take the credit. We try to change things and fight for equality and we'll end up in Azkaban on trumped up charges. If we're not outright killed and our death brushed over as an accident. I mean who'd want to investigate the death of muggleborn.
What's more, we can't leave. Once signed up for the school a muggleborn cannot leave the magical world until graduation, if expelled they must have their magic bound. Whereas a halfblood or pureblood can join another school if they want to complete their education.
After graduation well we could stay in the magical world and fight every single day to try and get anywhere in our chosen field out of a limited choice of careers that we can enter or we could leave for the non-magical world. But if we leave well many who left have died in too many accidents to be a coincidence.
So why not emigrate you ask? Well simple Europe treats muggleborns the same as good old Britain here so that's out. Everywhere else? Well America and Canada are good places that are a lot more evolved and accepting. Getting there however is next to impossible.
You can't use non-magical means to emigrate because of the what happens to those who 'abandon the marvellous magical community'. And magical emigration is extremely difficult and nigh impossible to accomplish. Plus in all likelihood you'll wind up dead before you manage it.
So why not flee the country? Well then they'll label you a traitor and wanted criminal on trumped up charges and you'll be caught and imprisoned or end up dead for 'resisting arrest'.
They say muggleborns aren't slaves.
Well it sure doesn't feel as if we're free.
