This is a challenge I'm putting out to everyone. When Shinji is abandoned by Gendo, one of two things must happen.
God decides to Humanity a fighting chance and sends him to the Angel Beats cast to be raised by them.
Shinji will grow up in the afterlife, but age at a normal pace. This means that he will spend 9-10 years in the afterlife while still being alive.
He can take after any cast member as long as he gains some fighting abilities.
He will return to the real world in time to receive the letter.
Gendo must still think that his plans are intact up until Shinji arrives in Unit 01's hanger.
Allowed pairings: Shinji and Asuka, Shinji and Rei, Shinji and Hikari, Shinji and Mana, Shinji and Maya, Misato and Kanji.
Bashing allowed (NGE only) as long as it's tasteful
Yurippe is the primary mother figure
Straight pairings only
Harhui Suzumiya is bored to tears one day and ends up stumbling upon Gendo abandoning Shinji and in a fit of divine inspiration decides to have herself, Kyon and the SOS Brigade raise him as their son.
Shinji will get a little bit of Harhui's powers, but he can't destroy the world if he's bored
His personality will be a mix of Harhui and Kyon.
The other members of the SOS brigade become his aunts and uncles (are there any males beside Kyon, I can't remember.)
Harhui is the primary mother figure with Kyon as the Primary father figure
He gets the letter from Gendo at 14.
Again Gendo thinks every things according to plan until Shinji arrives in the hanger.
Must have lots of tasteful humor
