It must have been 5am at the most. Here he was. digging through his boyfriend's mail.

"I've paid everyone Mase, relax" Corey would say as he stroked his cheek and went to sleep.

He should have trusted him.

His sweet cute boyfriend that had bought him a car, surprised him with a rolex and never forgot his birthday. He honestly believed that he'd got a promotion in the beginning. Until Maon began getting weird calls. Strange letters sent to his job and eventually baliffs. He paid them as soon as possible. Confronted Corey, who of course denied it at first.

One angry growl from Liam and one night Corey broke down and revealed everything. That he'd been in debt for months. Trying to impress him, trying to give him the best. Mason asked for all the paperwork, typed out every debt note. They worked together to pay every one off. Corey had promised to go to counselling. He'd yell to him every once in a while through the hallway that he was going there, some small cake sale room down Barao avenue.

His boyfriend would never question it, why would he?

Until he went out with drinks with the pack. He was on his way to get another round when someone bumped into him.

"Sorry" Mason mumbled.

The guy turned around pulled his cigarette to his lips. "Mason Hewitt?" He said.

Mason froze and squinted. He wass pretty sure he didn't recognize him.

"I know of you. You're a fashion editor, you like cats, reading in the park and saving your deceptive boyfriends ass. He owes us, Mason. If he can 't pay in full. You have to"

"Me?" Mason whispered.

"You're a counter-signatory. You got anything that you'd like to forfeit?" He smirks.

Mason doesn't feel thirsty anymore and starts backing away, but that doesn't stop this random dude from grabbing his wrist.

"Woah get..." Before Mason can calmly ask this guy to get the hell off him, the guy is thrown through the air, by a very tanned muscular arm. Embarrased Mason doesn't even return the the pack. He gets out his phone to text Liam.

"Mason!" He hears a familiar voice say.

His heart is still pounding, but he's relived when he sees Brett.

"Thanks...I figure your the one that got rid of that creepy debt collector"

"I see Corey's up to the same old bull-shit" Brett rolls his eyes and fingers his hair against his scalp. "Are you okay? That prick was beginning to hurt you, I could feel it"

"I'm better thanks to your amazing timing" Mason said stroking Brett's arm.

He was finding it hard to tear his eyes away from the were's body. Everytime he saw him, whether it was at his place, on the lacrosse field or in a studio, the guy always looked perfect. Mason reminded himself he had a boyfriend and willed wicked thoughts away.

"I'll drive you home" Brett told him.

"I just wanna be by myself...if that's okay" Mason said tugging at his own jacket.

"No it's not, not after what happened in there"

"I feel fine"

"That's a lie" Brett announces, smoothing the human's collar.

Mason huffed and leaned against the wall. He looks up and sees Liam. They nod at each other before his best friend disappears into the night. With his pack he assumes. Heck Liam can probably smell Mason's crush on Brett from over there.

" I can't win with you, can I?" Mason stirs.

"Nonsense, you can always win with me. Please let me take you home. No charge" Brett says holding his hand out.
