Summary: Rin gets herself into trouble
Tiny bare feet beat furiously against the earth in their attempt to get away from the giant youkai chasing them. Shoes lost when the small body whose heart pounded with deafening thuds slid down a slick embankment and into the mud.
Gotta run, gotta run, gotta run
Branches snag and tear tender skin and silken kimono. The wind itself seems against the little body desperately seeking a place to hide, blowing against tearstained cheeks and making it difficult to see.
An unseen tree root snags tender toes and the small frame topples forward.
This is it, I'm done for. Please forgive Rin Shessoumaru-sama she didn't mean to get eaten.
The anticipation of smacking the ground is cut short by a flash of silver hair and the rushing sound of power being released.
"Thank you for saving Rin Sesshoumaru-sama!"
"Close kid, but not quite."
Clenched brown eyes finally pry open and when the meet gold it is not the gold they were expecting, but they're grateful all the same.
Standing nearly as imposing as his brother Inuyasha glares at the charred remains of the youkai.
"Now let's see if I can get you back to my asshole of a brother without getting my head handed to me."
Tiny arms wrap around a tense neck and nod. She couldn't wait to tell her Lord that he was wrong about Inuyasha-sama, he wasn't a fool at all. He did have the good sense to be afraid of him.
