a/n: Hello GMW fans! It's me, Summer. This little one-shot is based off a scene from the episode "Girl Meets Home for the Holidays" It's inspired by dinner scene, Shawn talks about his job, and Maya talked about other places.

Just wanted to tell everyone who reviewed and favorited Broken and Insecure, thank you. The support means so much to me, and I truly appreciate it. Anyway, just wanted to add this small little detail, this is my 50th story. I'm so happy I made it to this day, to have half a hundred stories. It has been a goal of mine since I started the site, and would like to say thank you to everyone who made it possible, and to people who inspire me.

Sorry for the long note, enjoy the story.

As Maya sipped the last of the hot chocolate, Riley sat down next to her. They were sitting on Riley's bed. It was midnight, and everyone was asleep.

Riley decided to ask the question she has been wanting to all night, ever since the dinner.

" So Hit-The-Road. com?" Riley commented, attempting to be as casual as she could. But the worries were eating her up inside.

"Plan on going somewhere?" She continued, not being able to help it. She tried to ask in a joking manner. But her tone came out scared and worrisome.

"I'm going nowhere Riley, trust me" Maya said as she put her mug on the nightstand. But she wasn't able to look Riley in the eyes.

"Maya, what other places do you plan on going to?" Riley asked, in fear of losing her best friend. She heard so many amazing stories about her Uncle Shawn and her father, and then knowing he moved away unable to watch her father have a family, scared her.

She didn't want to lose Maya years from now because of where they are going to end up. She didn't want to lose Maya now, or ever.

She only wished the best for Maya's future, as well as her own. But watching her Uncle Shawn and Dad, with there different paths in life, she feared for them both. Shawn and her father both lost each other in thirteen years time. Riley didn't want that. She would never ever want to lose her best friend.

So when her uncle mentioned his job, and Maya knew the site immediately, Riley began to worry. If Maya planned on leaving, where did that leave them?

Would something ever tear them apart? What if years later, it was vice versa, what if Maya had a fairy tale ending? Would she be able to handle watching her having a perfect life? All these thoughts running through her head, as she waited for Maya to answer.

"Would you leave me, Maya?" Riley asked.

"Riley" Maya turned to Riley. She knew where this fear was coming from. She saw the way Shawn was with Cory. She heard the stories.

" I would never, ever leave you" She promised. "If I ever do go to these other places, it would be with you" Maya promised.

"You promise?" Riley asked.

" Yes, I promise. Maybe one day, you'll have children. I can be Aunty Maya. Then they will have someone like me. Maybe one day, I'll be able to tell them everything is going to be okay. I'll be there for you, always" Maya said.

" I'd like that" Riley said with a smile. " I'll always be there for you too"

Maya yawned and lied down."Goodnight, Riley"

"Goodnight Maya, Merry Christmas"
