Inspired by Josh Turner's 'Why Don't We Just Dance'
Because I ship Bosami friendship.
Really hard.
Bolin watched as his brother's ex-girlfriend sat, chin resting on her hands, staring out the window. A radio played softly in the background. She wasn't listening to it, she hadn't even moved from the last time Bolin checked on her.
She had been like this for a few days, after Korra got her bending back and everything was almost back to normal.
Except for her. Things would never be the same for Asami again. Her father was in jail, her home and her fortune were taken away from her, and she was newly single, forced to watch her ex-boyfriend be so deeply in love with someone who wasn't her everyday. She had literally lost everything in a matter of weeks.
Bolin entered the room, and she turned to look at him as he turned the radio up and grabbed her hand, pulling her to her feet.
"Bolin what are you doing?" She stood rigidly as he began to move with the music.
He didn't answer; instead he lifted her hand above her head and twirled her around. A ghost of a smile appeared on her face. He intertwined their fingers, and began to move his arms wildly, his muscles overpowering hers as she tried at first to resist him, before giving in and allowing him to move her to the rhythm.
The music sped up, and so did he, pulling her across the floor. To his delight, she began to move on her own, swaying her hips and letting her feet follow his.
He shook his butt, being mock sexy for her and she laughed. It was the first time in a while that he had heard her laugh so genuinely.
He spun her around again, and this time she moved with him, hair flying and eyes sparkling. She lifted her hand up and spun Bolin and he laughed with her, having to crouch a bit to make it under her arm.
The song ended and they stood looking at each other with bright eyes and wide smiles. A new song started and Bolin held his hand out to Asami who happily accepted it.
Things may never be normal for her again, but he could at least give her something to smile about.
This actually came to me while my brother and I were singing this song out on the deck looking at the lake. My life is literally ideas for ff waiting to happen.
