Catholicism vs. Christianity
I am not too good at intros at all, so I'm just gonna leave it at that, and continue forth!
Catholicism:
· Praying through Saints:
Why? What is the point? Yes, I am sure Saints were good people. But, why should you find hope in them? John 14:6 says: "I am the way, the truth, the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me." (Jesus speaking). Jesus makes it clear, that He is the ONLY way. If you want to pray or talk to God, Saints aren't the way to go. Jesus is the way.
· Confession:
See John 14:6. Everybody has sin. Jesus died to forgive sin. Not your Preacher or Pastor or Priest. Jesus is the way. Everybody has spiritual gifts- nobody has the exact same set of spiritual gifts (bearing fruit). Your Pastor or Priest or Preacher is just someone who is good at teaching. They teach you about Christ, and this is good. But you have no need to tell your Priest your sin, because he cannot forgive you. Jesus died on the cross so that you would be forgiven of your sin. Jesus is the way!
My major issue that I have found through Catholicism is that they do not go through Jesus even though they believe in Him, and do believe in the Bible.
