AND RIKU LOVED Naminé, he loved her so much. He loved everything about her, her hair, her smile, her eyes, everything. He loved everything she did, those small things like how she twirled her earring around when she heard their song (which was "Hey There Delilah", no paticular reason), how she would hate it if he brought her roses but would love him forever if he picked some wild flowers, or how she would listen to what he actually had to say instead of yapping on and on like the other girls would.
There were days where Riku worried about her, the way other men would look at her, how wolf-like they would stare and try to get her to pay attention to them. Their tactics made him worry that one day she would leave him for one of those wolf-like men. The way she reacted angered him, how she giggled and smiled when they talked to her, acting like he wasn't even there But everything would be forgiven once she said, "Sorry boys, I'm taken and I love him to death."
But he couldn't help to feel threatened as one of her colleagues offered her his coat and she took it. "Oh, him? He's Roxas. It was cold in the office so he lent me his jacket." She said sweetly after he asked her what happened. He felt like this Roxas would take her away oce they got to know each other well eough. "Don't worry, he's not my type." She winked and kissed his cheek. Everything was forgiven after that.
Her colleague wouldn't let her go though. She would end up staying over time to finish "buisness" in the office. At first he really did believe her, but things started to get suspicious. Rather, she would spend more time at the office than with him.
So that's why it was raining at her funeral, because Riku loved Naminé to death.
foot-notes: fifteen minutes. it was all i had to write it all... so i know it's terrible and all. but yeah. happy early namiku day! well, technically speaking it's already namiku day on the other side of the earth.
