I woke up in my loft apartment. The sunlight was coming through the windows. Got up and to looked out over Old Town. It was nice. Looked at the end table and on it was my framed picture of my girlfriend, Dana. I smiled. Picked up my phone and called her. "Hi, Terry."

"Hi, Dana. I have the night off. Do you want to get together and go do something?"

"Yeah, I do. What are we going to do?"

"How about we have dinner and take a walk?"

"Sounds good. I've got to get ready. I'll meet you at the big clock."

"Okay. Love you."

"Love you too." We hung up. Got ready to see Dana. I've been looking forward to this. Being able to spend the day with her. I can't remember when was the last time we actually spent the day together.

Went to the big clock. Saw Dana standing there looking the other way. I quietly approached her. Reached out and covered her eyes. Leaned forward to her ear. "Hello there, beautiful." Uncovered her eyes. She turned around. Smiled. We kissed. Parted. "I'm sorry I'm late. I got held up a little bit." We held hands and started walking.

"How are you doing?"

"I'm good. You?"

"I'm good."

Looking at her face. "I missed you."

"Missed you too." Kissed her cheek. She smiled. We quietly walked on, with her head on my shoulder.

We had a quiet dinner. It was really nice to have a quiet dinner together. While we ate; we would look at each other and exchange looks. No need to talk. Just seeing each other and being together is enough.

We left and took a walk. We just walked around. Holding hands. Looked at her. "Let's go dance."

We went to the club where we dance. We went to the dance floor. It was empty except for us. As I Love You by Shirley Bassey came on. We started slow dancing to it. Looking at her. She was looking at me. We were smiling at one another. She squeezed me a little. Going around and around. Listening to the song. Looking at her. The song finished. "I love you, Dana," I said.

"As I love you," Dana said. We held hands and walked out.

We started walking. She shivered. I took off my jacket and put it on her. She looked at me. Smiled. We both walked closer to one another.

We walked back to her apartment. Stopped at the door. Looking at one another. "Thank you for keeping your promise today, Terry."

"You're worth it, Dana. It's makes our days together more . . ."

"Significant." She smiled. We kissed. We were holding hands.

"Good night, Terry." Our hands slowly separated.

Feeling her fingers becoming lighter. "Good night, Dana." She walked in. "Love you."

"Love you too." Smiled. The door slowly closed. After it did, I turned and left. Went back to my loft.

Looked at the framed picture of Dana. I smiled.

My phone rang. Picked it up. It was my boss. I went to work.
