Dislcaimer: I do not own any of these characters. They belong to the BBC.

Martha applied a second coat of mascara to her eyelashes and checked her outfit again. She was expecting her girlfriends to burst in at any moment to whisk her away for her bachelorette party. Her sinfully tight dark jeans and red bustier top were adjusted and tweaked one final time.

She grinned in anticipation on the night's events, which were going to include a stop at a male strip bar. She froze her smile to apply a coat of pink, shiny gloss to her lips and found her thoughts drifting to other men in her life. She had been surprised beyond words to receive an acceptance of her wedding invitation back from Jack Harkness, never mind that he had included a plus one.

Her preparations were interrupted by a noise, but it wasn't the sound of her bedroom door being bombarded. It was a sound that still had the power to take her breath away.

She capped her lip gloss and stepped into the bedroom, facing the newly-materialized TARDIS. Her heart was fluttering in anticipation. She had to admit that this scene had appeared in her dreams far too often.

One half of the wooden door lazily creaked open. The Doctor appeared in the opening, leaning casually against the door frame with an extremely mysterious grin on his face.

Martha grinned back, though something about his lack of a boisterous greeting threw her off slightly.

Then the other half of the door opened to reveal Captain Jack Harkness with the same casual demeanor and mysterious smile. Martha was about to open her mouth when she noticed how the two were standing. Jack was much closer to the Doctor than usual, but the Time Lord still looked completely relaxed and … happy. And then she noticed their hands were loosely clasped.

They're … together?

The knowledge that the Doctor was not alone warmed Martha's heart. "What's the occasion, gents?" she finally asked.

Jack's grin widened. "Your bachelorette party, if I'm not mistaken."

The Doctor finally shifted, his usually boundless energy obviously pumping through him. "We thought you might enjoy a little diversion. We can bring you right back, so you can still have time with your mates."

Martha's gaze shifted to the window where she could see two cars parking in front of her flat. It's now or never.

"What sort of diversion did you have in mind?" Martha asked, still feeling slightly cautious but more than a bit curious.

"Well, Jack hasn't quite filled me in on all the details yet, but I'm led to understand that there may be honey and/or whipped cream involved at some point," the Doctor answered, bouncing on his heels.

"So," Jack said, folding his arms and gazing at her seductively. "Are you coming, Martha Jones?"

Martha was shocked for exactly half a second. Then she nearly flung her clothes along with her caution to the wind as she threw herself at the TARDIS, into the arms, awaiting her.

Best. Bachelorette party. Ever!
