The moonlight shone upon bright sparkling stones, in a large rock clearing. Two large shapes dashed across them. One was panting hard, her paws hurting upon the stones, not by the stones themselves, but by a large cut going across it. As she stopped and began to sway, The other one turned to her. "Come now, we can't stop here!" he rushed.

"Th-they're coming!" she responded, collapsing to the ground.

A huge sound echoed through the place, and the male creature raised his head. "Up, once we reach the den, we should be safe and sound." He told her.

"They seem to not be able to wait till then!" she growled.

The second one lifted his head, and gazed into the bushes on the side that he and she came through. There were dark shapes running around. "Quick, let's find somewhere to hide!" he growled. And the two dashed into a part of the rocky clearing.

"And here Ebonypaw is Wolf-rocks, the only thing separating us from the wolf pack that keeps to their own borders. But even if they do leave, we should not quarrel." A golden tabby informed her apprentice.

The small black cat stepped out into the clearing, ears pricked. "Do you hear that." He asked.

The older cat pricked up her ears. There was a strange sound echoing across the clearing for certain. "Where is it coming from!" she asked.

The apprentice began to crawl around the rocks, reaching a small crevice. Where three large, kit like, animals lay. But they were large, newborn since their ears were plastered to their heads. But they seemed to be as big as Ebonypaw. Their fur black as ever.

The older warrior smelled around, they were right at the border with the wolf pack.

"What do we do, Swallowclaw?" ebonypaw asked.

Swallowclaw looked down at her apprentice. "Are there any that are alive?"

Ebonypaw began to inspect each one. "One of them." He answered.

"Then we take it to camp." Swallowclaw responded.
