Disclaimer: I don't own Left 4 Dead
Been watching WAY too many funny baby videos, because of that, this was the result.
Enjoy
The early morning sun peeked through the window blinds, shining into the kitchen and lighting up the table where Rochelle sat.
A newspaper lying flat on the wood, one hand holding it down while the other held a pen that was scribbling letters into the blank spaces of a cross word puzzle.
"Dang it, can't solve this one." She muttered quietly to herself, tapping the pen on her temple and casting a quick glance to her husband who was laying on the couch.
Wearing only a pair of blue jeans as he crossed his legs, his body relaxed as he kept his eyes shut and arms wrapped around their one month old daughter.
The baby's green eyes made Rochelle fall in love all over again with her and Nick, thankful that Kaitlin got her fathers eyes.
"What is it?" She asked from the table, smiling while leaning forward in her chair; Kaitlin's eyes narrowed as a big smile stretched across her face.
The one month old pushed herself up as much as she could, only to have her father lift her into the air and hold her above his head.
She giggled, her smile getting bigger, throwing her arms up and down as if she were trying to fly.
Rochelle couldn't stop the smile as her eyes almost teared at the beautiful sight, seeing how strong a bond Nick and their daughter formed in her short life on this Earth.
"Where are you going? Huh?" Nick whispered while looking up at her with a smile, moving his arms down with a small gasp as if he was about to drop her. Quickly moving his arms back up, she laughed again.
Rochelle saw nothing but happiness in Nick's eyes as he held their baby, looking up at her from where he lay as she smiled down at him.
"What are you laughing about? Think this is funny?" He said laughing himself as he did the motion again, the one month old squirmed as Rochelle got up and went to the couch.
He lowered her again, getting her close enough for him to kiss her cheek and hand her to Rochelle who took her in her arms, holding her out and slowly spinning around in circles with a big smile that Kaitlin copied.
"Are you flyin' baby girl?" She asked slowly pulling the young girl close to her before sitting her on the floor beside her toys.
Rochelle watched Kaitlin lift her arms up and hit Nick's shoulder; he laughed and slowly slid off the couch. Sitting with his legs crossed on the floor, Kaitlin pulled one of her toys with her and crawled into his lap.
Her small back against his right arm as he used his free hand to play with her, Rochelle couldn't help but be touched by the loving affection that Nick was showing right now.
Going behind her husband and wrapping her arms around his neck, she got to her knees, kissing his cheek before burying her face in his shoulder.
"You know, I always was afraid I'd be like my dad when it came to this. Was one of the reasons I didn't want to have kids." Nick confessed quietly, obviously not enjoying the thought as his wife hugged him closer to her with a smile.
"Nicolas, you're a wonderful father and a great man." Rochelle whispered, knowing that he didn't care for being called by his first name.
Instead of sending her his usual annoyed expression when she called him that; he kissed her lips and kissed Kaitlin who smiled and snuggled closer to him.
"You're the most amazing, beautiful woman I've ever met, Ro."
She only responded by hugging him again before sitting on the floor to play with Kaitlin.
Hope you liked it, sorry it's so short but I wanted to do a small story.
