AN: Wassup guys?! It's your girl Zaya coming at ya with a replace chapter for the first one! Ok now that I got that out my system how've you guys been? Did you guys play the Borderlands Pre-Sequel? I hope you did because that game is the most baddest-ass thing since the level 50 sword gun off of Assault on Dragon's Keep. And that thing was pretty bad-ass. But after beating the game FINALLY (the Raum-Kampfjet Mark V boss thingy you had to beat was a pain in my ass.) I learned a couple things. (WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILERS)
Athena X Janey is my OTP.
Moxxi is like an onion made of boobs.
Nisha was badass despite joining Jack.
I hate Tassiter more than Jack in the second game.
Athena gave me a kickass idea for later in this fic. Stay tuned!
I still kinda resent Jack but I also like him. AGHHH!
Felicity, and Zarpedon, despite the hell they put me through, are the two bosses I didn't want to beat.
I don't hate Roland, Lilith, and Moxxi, but I am VERY disappointed in them for what they did.
I miss Angel even more now.
Pickle is cute as hell.
Moonshot rides are awesome.
I had already beat the game when I found out you could but slam the Stingray by boosting and pressing the right bumper (for Xbox 360 controls atleast).
Torks and Stalkers are my worst enemies in that game.
Nappykins Lunestalker was a friking brat!
I never realized the need I had to go into low gravity until now.
Shuggaraths (however the crap you spell it) had me freaking out the first time I saw them.
Stingrays are awesome.
And finally
I WANT MORE!
Ok so that was more than a few. But that game put me through a whirlwind of emotions that I haven't felt in a game in a really long time. A+ 2K Australia! I wanna see more from ya! Also I did get rid of Drayzen in the original fic. Though he didn't play that big of a roll yet in the first place, I feel bad for cutting him out. Aw well, I've got a plan cooking and you guys just have to stick around to see. But anyways, enough of my excessive talkativeness. Zayne, disclaimer please!
Zayne: Zaya does not own anything here except me. All the rights go to their respective owners. You happy?
Zaya: Yes thanks. Roll fic!
Maya's POV
The choices that change people's lives either have significances: either so small it's barely noticeable or so huge you wonder if you made the wrong one. The choices that changed mine was when I left the monastery, when I answered Jack's call for Vault Hunters, when Jack tried to kill me, when I joined the Crimson Raiders, but definitely one that changed me along with everyone else was when I met Gaige and Zayne. But we'll get on that choice later.
The day started off normally, I was sleeping, dreaming about the universe's largest library. Until that is my douchey friend Axton blew an airhorn in my ear. Screaming from the loud noise, and partially from my forced awakening, I fell face first out of my bunk. After the ringing in my ear died down I looked up to glare at him. He had dark blonde hair and dark green eyes, but his most noticeable feature was the Dahl soldier tattoo that was above his left eyebrow. He currently had this annoying ass smirk on his face that makes you want to slap it off with a skag anus.
"Bout time you woke up, sweetcheeks," he said with that stupid-ass smug voice.
Calmly collecting myself off the floor, I sprung forward and kneed him in the stomach. That poor sunavabitch dropped like a sack of Eridium. He was still wheezing on the ground when I left the room.
I walked downstairs to see all my comrades sitting at the table. There was Krieg, a psycho type guy, Lilith a shortish red head with tattoos on the right side of her body, Zer0 a mysterious assassin figure who usually speaks in haiku, (we actually didn't know if Zer0 is a boy or a girl), you've already seen Axton, and Salvador, a short Truxican man with a blue mowhawk and a booming voice.
"Hey killer. Glad to see you're awake," Lilith greeted me.
"Morning," I greeted back.
"Where is the soldier/He should be here with the group/We have jobs today," Zer0 commented.
"He's on the floor wheezing," I replied.
Everybody started laughing, even Zer0 had an 'LOL' on his helmet.
"Go easy on him chica, that pretty face is all he has," Salvador boomed.
We were all still laughing when poor Axton came trudging down the stairs, still holding his stomach.
"You guys are all assholes," he muttered.
"C'mon tiger, take a joke," Lilith said through her chuckles.
Muttering under his breath like a little kid, he sat down in his seat at the table right next to me. After eating a breakfast of Frosted Flakes, Lilith got straight down to business.
"Alright everybody. I've got some intel that there might be some trouble makers in the Children of the Firehawk. Now, normally you would get the mission from Clayton, but I want to personally find out who it is."
"How come?" I asked.
"Well.."
Lilith pulled out an Echo.
"Just listen."
(Echo Recorder Begins)
Clayton: The raids have been occurring for the past two weeks now. We have executed all the traitorous offenders that worship the sacrilegious demi-god Scorch, who we thought was behind all of the thieving. But no, there are others. Other heathens who must pay for their crimes against the Firehawk. About two days ago, I walked outside to see a small figure in the lower camp, stealing food and guns from a shack. Infuriated, another brother came out to kill the insolent, but when he attacked it, his blows and bullets just knocked it back. The figure ran off, but not before throwing an object at a very high speed. The next morning when I investigated the enclosure the object had hit there was a very large dent, the metal caved in, also with the object no where in sight. But that is not all. I also witnessed another figure, this time bigger. It was stealing money and ammo from the strong boxes, but had this monster, floating like an angel of death right next to it. Its eyes were bright blue, and had claws that could slit a man's throat. It was shining in the moonlight, the skin glistening. It turned its head towards me, readying itself to strike, but the small figure called it off, apparently done with its looting. The creature followed. I will fear not though. The Firehawk's divine punishment will rain on them, and put them through a fiery hell that they cannot even imagine.

"Wow, so a teamwork of bandits stealing from a cult? That's new," Axton said.
"The only thing we can assume right now is that they are working together, and that they know what they're doing," I commented.
"That and also very dangerous. By Clayton's description one can absorb bullets and can throw something so hard enough to make a dent in solid metal, and the other has a creature that can float and has claws and apparently does whatever it says," Axton added.
"THE MEATBAGS WILL GO TO THE SLAUGHTER!" Krieg yelled, waving his buzz-axe.
"Calm down Krieg, we'll go investigate," I said, putting my hand on his arm.
He calmed down, going back to his usual silent disposition.
"One of the pair usually comes out near midnight when everybody is asleep. So go and camp out near the lower camp near the cave and wait until you see someone sneak out," Lilith explained.
We all agreed. For the rest of the day we did a mission for Clayton and Lilith, then just hung around Sanctuary. Around eleven thirty at night we all met up at the fast-travel.
"Ok, we all ready?" Axton questioned.
"Yeah, let's move," I replied.
We all traveled to Frostburn Canyon, and found a decent camp spot up near where the pair usually goes. We were all arguing about if a Jacob or Torgue shotgun was better when I heard a crunch in the snow.
"Shh! I heard something," I whispered.
I slowly crept over to the edge of the cliff near Clayton's house, and looked over. I called over Zer0, and we both snuck down. Zer0 went into Deception, and I just snuck around the back to try and get a better look. I couldn't see much since it was so dark, but I did make out a small hooded figure. It was too tall to be a midget, but it was way too short to be a bandit or psycho. It looked like it was going through a stash of a sort, collecting food and other supplies from it. I saw Zer0 behind it, ready to stab it with his sword. I tried to signal to wait, but my foot crunched in the snow. It startled, ready to run but Zer0 had caught it by the collar. The figure started thrashing, trying to wriggle its way out. Zer0 had had enough, chopped its neck, knocking it out cold.
"Was that necessary?" I asked.
"Yes absolutely/Or else it would run away/and delay our job," he said.
"Ok if you say so," I replied at the same time I heard gunshots.
Zer0 set the figure over to the bottom of the stairs when we saw the rest of our team shooting at someone else at the bottom camps. Zer0 went into Deception once again, and hit the back of its head with the butt of his sword, effectively knocking the one unconscious as well. Panting, Axton came jogging to meet with Zer0.
"Nice job pal," he commended, smacking a hand on Zer0's shoulder.
"It was not that hard/We caught them both off their guard/And finished our work," Zer0 said.
"Yeah. Why don't we unmask our little capers?" I propose.
"Yeah, let's see who was causing so much trouble," he said pulling off their hoods.
We all weren't ready for what we saw. Those two looters, they were just kids! They were both terribly dirty, covered in dirt and blood. On the shorter one you could see a dirty black eye-patch, a badass dirt covered arm brace, and a even more badass dirty sword and holster! The other one had dirty goggles, a tool belt with a replaceable head screwdriver, a hammer, and a wrench, and a cute little lunch box with a skull on it.
"Uh… Didn't see that coming," Sal commented.
"That explains why they were shorter than the rest," I said after a period of awkward silence.
"THE MEATBAGS STILL CHASE THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!" Krieg yelled.
"Yes Krieg they're just kids," I replied.
"Should we bring them to Sanctuary?" Axton questioned.
"Of course! They could die out here," I said.
"They seem to be doing alright on their own," he replied.
"These two were forced to steal Axton. They need our help."
"They're plenty of kids on this planet who make fine on their own, that's all I'm saying."
"And what I'm saying is that children should not be forced to steal from bandits to survive."
"Look Maya, we don't know these kids, and we don't even know them."
"We shouldn't have to even contemplate leaving these kids out here!"
"Fine!" he snarled back.
He took the two's stuff and stormed off. I looked back over at the two. There was no way I could carry them by myself, and I couldn't phaselock them all the way to and through Sanctuary. Krieg then walked up and pulled the bigger one and slung it over his shoulder.
"PRETTY LADY NEEDS MEATBAGS TO GET TO THE POOP TRAIN!" he shouted.
"Thanks Krieg," I said, wrapping an arm around his waist in a quick hug.
Even through his mask, I could see he was smiling.
"THE CONDUCTOR OF THE POOP TRAIN IS WAITING FOR US TO BOARD!" he shouted, waving his buzzaxe at Ax, who was waiting impatiently at the Fast Travel Station.
I turned around and pulled the smaller one onto my back. It was a lot lighter than she looked, and she was less than five feet. And we all walked back in silence, no loud arguments about how an SMG is better than assault rifle, about whose kill count was higher, or who should've gotten the better weapon out of the chest. I missed it strangely enough, in the very least you could get a good laugh at them. But, I just sighed, and kept walking.
AN: And that's the end. I wanted to start connecting with all of you and getting to know you better, so I decided to start asking questions. So as the first official question: What is better, Jakobs or Torgue? And I'll talk to you guys later! BYE PEEPZ!
