Katie pressed down the hem of the frilly dress. She even glared at it, as if it could see her glaring face. Her black glasses slid down her face, so she pushed it back up her nose and sighed. Then, she was falling in infinite darkness.

The dream ended, her eyes blinking open with sweat beaded on her forehead, Katie herself in a dark blue pajama outfit with yellow stars on it.

First Person POV

I woke up in my bed, in pjs. "Ugh, my head hurts like hell."

I push my messy dark brown hair out of my face. I look in the mirror. My strangely multicolored eyes (pinkish at the top, blue at the bottom) stare right back at me. I grab my glasses, pushing the black, square-framed glasses up my nose and onto my face.

What was that dream last night? I thought. That's strange...

"Katie!" She called.

"Coming!" She must've not heard me.

"K-Katie!"

"I said, I'm coming!" I snapped, agitated by the fact she called me again. I don't normally yell at her, actually. I just wasn't in the mood, as it was a Monday. And everyone hates Mondays. Even me.

"Attitude!"

By that time, I was in the living room.

She is my guardian. I never knew my parents, actually. Apparently, my parents died when I was younger. I never met them, and they never met me. My guardian claims my mother died giving birth to me, and my dad died in a car wreck or something.

Her name is Trisha, and she looks super pretty. She has tan skin and dyed hair. Her hair is a lavender color and her eyes are a dark purple. Today she was wearing a jean jacket on top of a black spaghetti-strap crop top that ended at the end of her breasts. She also wore high-waisted blue jeans that look really faded, and now look like a soft blue, which she's worn a lot recently.

Trisha twirled an envelope between her index and middle fingers.

"Whatzat?" I ask, gesturing to the envelope.

"High school. I got you admitted into a good one." She pressed the envelope into my grabby hands.

"What's inside it?"

"What do you think?"

What school did you get me into this time? And I'll probably get kicked out of it within a month or so. I don't really tru-

"I thought you wanted to see what was inside the envelope~" She teased me, using that weird voice of hers. It was like one of those flirt tease voices that always made my ears hot from embarrassment.

I look at the envelope seal. There's some sort of initials on it in delicate cursive. I traced it with my index finger a few times to remind myself of the intricate design of cursive writing.

RH? I swear, if this woman got me into a school called Rooster High...

I scratch at the seal with my nails, peeling it away. I open the envelope and grab out the paper inside.

'Dear Parent/Guardian,

Your child Prince/Princess Katie Alexandria Welsh is applicable for Royale High

Signed,

The Royal Committee'

It read.

One thought ran through my mind. Princess? There's no way I'm a princess, right?

This is a revision of the original Royale High, which won't be available by the time this is posted. I'm trying to make Katie sound less spoiled and sound more antisocial and indoorsy.

I'd like to clarify that this'll be posted on both FanFiction and Wattpad. The Wattpad viewers will get an exclusive picture so they'll see how Katie looks in my head-canon. That's about it. Stay creative, my fellow creators!
