Authoress's Note: This little story is basically a prologue/preview of a new story I am trying to write. Once the story is finally finished, I will post it.

The War That Never Ends
Long ago, on a distant planet, a war had begun between two entities. This war many know about, but not one can take part in. This war is between the two great armies of Light and Darkness. Good, and Evil.
Both sides of this ongoing war wish to defeat the other, but neither one have a way to do so.
One day, many hundreds of thousands of years after the war had begun, one girl was born. This girl possesses the ability to see anyone's weakness, an ability useful to both sides of the war.
The girl is a brown hedgehog with blue eyes and about 2'9" in size, and named Sorena.
Sorena loves to play the guitar in her band that includes her to best friends, Kat, a black cat, and Kiara, a pink hedgehog.
On occasion, Sorena would play her flute, alone and by herself where no one could hear her play.
The only thing that Sorena treasures is a locket that contains a picture of her and her parents. This locket belonged to her mother.
Both Sorena's mother and father ended being killed as a result of the war.
Looking at the picture brings back an old memory of when Sorena was a little girl of three.
~Flashback~
Sorena and her parents were walking along the beach. All of a sudden, something attacked them.
Sorena's father looked at who attacked them and saw that it was the two armies of light and darkness. Sorena's father then grabbed his wife and daughter and ran for safety.
As Sorena's father found a safe place for his family, he turned around to watch the battle. Then, a stray bolt of light struck his heart, and he was immediately killed.
Sorena's mother ran over to her dead husband and started to cry.
Distracted by her sorrow, Sorena's mother was also struck by a stray bolt of light and was also killed, leaving poor little Sorena as an orphan.
Sorena ran over to her dead parents and was terrified. She knew very well that they were the only family that she ever had, and now they are dead.
Sorena ran then took the locket around her mother's neck, and ran far away from the battle scene, crying.
~Flashback ends~
Sorena always goes to the cliffs at night, mainly to get away from the troubles of both her job and the war and to clear her mind.
Sorena's life is hard due to the fact that she is stuck in the middle of the war. Both the war and what Sorena does for a living doesn't make her life any easier.
Sorena works in a music shop. A job that she likes, but her boss is the only thing about it that she absolutely hates. An evil tyrant is the only thing that anyone can compare Sorena's boss to. On occasion, her boss would give her a break, but that is very rare.
Extremely cautious of the war and that both sides want to have her for her unique ability, Sorena uses her flute and plays a tune that makes her invisible to whoever wishes to use her ability for their own purposes. An ability that is very useful for getting herself and her two closest friends out of tough situations.
The war makes Sorena dream of a normal life when she doesn't have to worry about having to change her name just to hide from agents that are trying to look for her.
A life that would allow Sorena to walk out of her home in public, without worrying or fearing who is watching her.
A life where everyone and everything lives in complete peace and harmony.
A life without war.
