Mirror

Regina was sitting on her bed, her eyes closed.

She had tried not to think.

She had tried not to suffer.

But it was simply impossible.

It was impossible not to think about them, not to think about what happened a year ago.

That day was still fixed in Regina's memory.

She had tried to forget.

But she couldn't.

She just couldn't forget what she felt while Emma and Henry jumped on that bloody bug and went away.

She just couldn't forget the hug Henry gave her, murmuring that he was proud to be her son.

Regina jiggled her head, but she just couldn't forget.

She couldn't forget those years; years spent with Emma, against Emma, for Emma.

Years, months, days. Hours spent falling in love with Emma.

Regina stood up from her bed, a physical need to walk, to try to forget, to try not to think.

But she couldn't do it.

Because she was alone. Alone with her thoughts.

«Sidney!» she shouted.

The Mirror on the wall simply lighted, and the man trapped in it looked sadly at Regina. She never stopped to call him with that name. The "Storybrooke name".

«Your Majesty.»

Regina walked right in front of it.

«Show me.»

The man tried to confront the Queen; because he knew that it would only make things worse.

«Regina-»

«Now

The Mirror sighed, then he disappeared, showing a completely different scenario.

A teenage boy was having breakfast, with a cup in his hand.

«Mom, you forgot the cinnamon.» he told. «Again.»

Regina didn't even try to hold her tears.

Henry's voice was so different, so grown up.

And then she came in.

«Sorry, kid.»

Holding the cinnamon, with her messy hair and with her smile.

Emma gave a kiss on Henry's temple and then she moved to the window.

The Mirror followed her, so that Regina could watch Emma.

Her Emma.

The girl opened the window, her eyes half-closed.

Emma looked at the sky.

«I had another dream, tonight,» she whispered, in confusion, talking with no one. «I don't know who you are, Regina Mills. But I will find you.»

Regina shuddered.

«That's not possible…» she whispered, her eyes wide open.

Emma seemed very determined.

«I promise. I will find you.»
