Author's Note: this is not a fic. it's my ATTEMPT at writing poetry based on a theme the theme being kara and lee's relationship as it was left at the end of season 1.
Banter, bullets
Fire, passion
Clashing violently, a perfect fit
Wounded hearts pieced together
With parts of another's
When you're gone
I feel so alone
But then you talk to me again
But the banter's gone
So impersonal, alone
But still by your side
Fists, bruises
Stammered compliments
The passion's still there
I can feel it gently simmering
Beneath the surface, you forget
I know you so well, better then you
Know yourself and I know
That you see past my façade
you say I'm just a pilot
You are so much more
Pilot, friend, lover, soul
The first night and every night
I wasn't here, by your side
I woke alone, and I cried
It wasn't that there wasn't a body by my side
But that I couldn't feel your presence
Even in a temper I need you
just being near youkeeps me
From feeling, lost, alone
