Well, everyone, here's this shiny little oneshot that was born of lack of inspiration on my other story (gawd it's been forever since I've updated) and also just because I really felt like writing some slash. Oh, by the way it is slash, so if you don't like it, then don't read it.

Disclaimer: I own one uncompleted story chapter and a couple of oneshots, but I don't own HP. Sorry.

James pulled Lily down the corridor with a slight smile. The Yule Ball was still going on behind them, but he and Lily, like many other couples, were finding various other ways of entertaining themselves. Spying a supposedly empty broom closet on the side of the corridor, James pulled Lily to stand beside him, and wrenched open the door.

He then choked, turning an astonishing shade of purple. Looking out from the closet were his two best mates, Remus and Sirius. Sirius grinned, and Remus blushed somewhat, but the most noticeable thing about the two was that they seemed to be in the process of morphing into one being by way of hands and mouths. Sirius reached out to take hold of the door from James, and shut it, leaving James and Lily stranded in the corridor.

"Good for them," said Lily calmly, "I was wondering when they were going to get together."

"You…you knew?" squeaked James.

"Well, it was fairly obvious that they liked each other. God, James, you can be so imperceptive sometimes."

James pouted a bit. Why hadn't he seen it and Lily had? He was their best friend, after all.

Back in the closet, Sirius and Remus simply stood in the darkness for a moment after the door closed. Then Sirius leaned down to whisper in Remus's ear, "Well that was an interesting interruption, hm?"

And so they resumed snogging.
