Ash was running. A few minutes ago, he'd been hiding in a warehouse with Hoopa. Ash had hoped that staying out of sight would help keep Hoopa's Unbound form from finding them: He had to keep Hoopa from being captured long enough for his friends to remake the prison bottle, however it seemed that Hoopa Unbound could sense his location without needing to see him.
Suddenly in front of him a gold ring appeared and from it came Hoopa Unbound's ugly head. Ash turned around but stopped short as another ring blocked his path. More gold rings appeared, and Hoopa Unbound sent its arms through them. Ash frantically dodged the blows until he was rescued by Lugia but Lugia got short down a moment later. Ash was thrown to the ground but Lugia wasn't out of the fight yet. The beast of the sea took to the air and launched more attacks at Hoopa Unbound. However eventually Lugia accidentally flew through a ring and was warped back to the ocean.
Ash asked Hoopa to "bring us some super-fast Pokémon" so Hoopa used its rings to summon Latias, Latios and Rayquaza. Ash asked the 3 legendary Pokémon for their help. By the time Hoopa Unbound them again Ash and Pikachu had mouthed Latias and Latios respectively and the chase was on. Hoopa unbound attacked again but ash had his Pokémon counter it with a dragon pulse. Next Hoopa Unbound used its rings and psychic powers to summon a cloud of dust and animate it into a dust tornado. Ash frantically ordered Latios and Latias to use psychic. The two attacks countered each other in a massive dust explosion. Once the air was clear, Ash saw Hoopa Unbound using all of its rings to summon Pokémon. Out came Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Kyrem, Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. The newly summoned pokemon stared Ash down menacingly.
Ash was about to say something lighthearted to mask his worry about the current situation. However, in a moment of clarity he realized something. Ash shouted at Hoopa Unbound, "You can't brainwash that many legendary Pokémon at once! Especially not the deities of space, time and dimensions!" The shadow paused and gave him a look as if to say, "I can't?" Suddenly the 6 legendary pokemon turned and glared at Hoopa Unbound, who shrunk back under their gaze. They launched their best attacks and Hoopa Unbound was obliterated in an instant. Without its unbound form to worry about, Hoopa lived happily ever after and Ash continued his Pokémon journey.
