"Good night, Doitsu~" Italy hugged the German soldier close to him. The said man just sighed. But a faint smile curved on his lips.
"Good night to you too, Italy.." and they drifted off to sleep, with an old song played on the radio.

Italy woke up by himself. He was alone in a dark room. Standing in the middle of the room with nothing is visible around him. From the moment he woke up, he knew it wasn't his room anymore. It was cold. And way too dark. And what more, there's no sign of Germany around.
"Doitsu..?" Italy begin to panic. He searched all over the room but the path seems endless and it was too dark to see anything before him. His voice cracked and he almost break to tears, until he saw a faint light in a distance before him.
Lo, a burning torch appears
in the distance, bright and clear
Oh the joy, I can see the light
Italy speed up his step towards the light. Hopefully, Germany will wait for him there. He shouted louder. His hope for any respond, especially from Germany, get bigger and bigger as the light seems to get closer to him.

When he passed through the light, he was arrived at a meadow. It was night time already. Confused, he looked around for a while, and he was surprised for what he saw at the end of the meadow. A familiar figure. Blue eyes and blond lock. Someone he yearns the most. Unconsciously, tears streaming down his cheeks. He ran towards the figure. Faster, faster and faster. He screamed, but no voice was heard. The figure started to walked away, and it made the Italian ran as fast as he could to reach him.
Make it quick, please don't, wait!
Let me in through heaven's gate!
The figure started to walk toward another door made of light. No matter how fast Italy ran, he never seems to be able to reached the figure. His heart started to break when the figure entered the light.
"Ever since the 900s, I've always loved you.. After war, I'll come back to you.. I promise.."
"WAAAAAIT!" Italy awake with teary eyes. Germany, who lay next to him was shocked. He tried to wake and soothe the Italian. It's been the third time this week that this thing happened.
"G-Germany..?"
"Another nightmares..?"
"I guess so.. I'm sorry or waking you up at this hour.."
"Nah, it's okay.. Just go back to sleep already.."
"You're not going anywhere.. Right..?"
"No. I'm here. I'm not.. Going anywhere.."
"Promise..?" Germany blinked. Italy never sound this sad before. But well, he ain't going anywhere, so what's the matter with having a promise?
"Promise.."
"Thank you, Doitsu.." Italy hugged him tighter and closed his eyes, trying to sleep again. But this time, Germany patted his head until he fell asleep. Italy smiled. Because he know, in the morning, he will meet Germany again. And that's for sure. Because Germany have promised.

Firstly! I'm very sorry for the short fic! It might have just a songfic, though.. I'm very sory.. ;;_;;
I found this song titled "Oh The Joy" by Jonathan Eng thanks to Pewdiepie by playing Year Walk. It's one of the soundtrack of the game. I really liked the song. Though whenever I heard the song, a feel of depression and suicidal comes to me I don't know why. O_O" But voila! This is what I have from the song! I hope I can continue "Simply You" soon.. So..
