It hit her out of nowhere. Nothing and then, she felt so much energy coursing through her she thought she would burst.

Her vision was blured. Was something there?

Was the something speaking to her? There was something comming through the ringing in her ears.

There was an angry roar from far away.

There was a flash and the something was gone.

She stood up in nausiating panic.

Something was running at her.

She had her back to a wall.

It screamed in her face.

She tried to push it away. The overwhelming energy came back.

There was another flash. The thing backed up, and let out what could be described as a painful laugh. Her hands burned.

She ran.

It quickly tackled her seconds later.

She was pinned face down on the ground.

There was a pinch just below the back of her neck.

It made a purring growl.

Everything faded.

About a day later

She woke up again.

She was in a room made of some brown metal, and she couldn't move. She felt her wrists were tied to some sort of pipe behind her back. Her knees were bent in front of her, with her ankles tied as well. Half of her face was throbing, so swolen that she could only open one eye. She was slightly relived she still had her tank top and sweatpants.

"Looks like I'm not the only one they found."

Someone else was in there with her. She looked to her side.

A tall figure was leaning against a wall.

She wanted to ask them what was going on, but the only thing she could say was:

"What hapened... to my face?"

"Well, from the looks of it, Kuldrak probably wanted payback for you burning half his face off" He said. His voice seemed growl-y.

What did he mean? She could remember burning, but that was something she felt. "I don't understand. I think I felt my hands burning when I tried to push whatever attacked me away."

He seemed to laugh, which really annoyed her, "Very funny, but playing dumb isn't much help here."

"How am I playing dumb? I just woke up and got abducted by who knows what!" She started to cry, fully realizing what was going on.

There was a loud bang outside the room, accompanied by some angry yowling.

He sighed, "I take it you were just reserected?"

"Huh?"

"Brought back to life, Gah, I'll explain after we bust out of here." He steped in front of her, allowing her to get a better look at him.

The first thing she noticed was his bright blue eyes, all four of them. And four arms each with three fingers. He had a dark blue hooded cloak, and some sort of mask.

"Seems like whoever is guarding us wants us quiet. Can't hear us talking, but if we could make enough noise we could lure them in."

"Why would we...?"

"One of them should be armed. I just need something sharp to get you out."

"And how are we going AHHRG!"

He had kicked her elbow, and she screamed. The banging returned, louder than before. She was kicked again, and screamed even louder.

This is when she found that she was the victim of an alien abduction. Part of the wall swung back and two angry looking creatues charged in. They looked like her cell-mate, but lacking a lower pair of arms. Both of them were brandishing knifes and yelling.

He lunged at the smallest one with great speed and strength, knocking it completly off balance into the wall. He wrestled the knife away and threw the small creature towards the opposite wall, the force knocking it unconsious.

The other one shreiked and ran off, yowling.

"See, kid? I have things under control." He used the knife to cut her free from her restraints. Her hands had fallen asleep.

...At least she thought they had.

"Did you do sonething with that knife? It feels like I've lost circulation in my hands, but I can move them perfectly fine."

She flexed her fingers, and for a moment, there was a slight burning sensation.

"Thats normal." He said, "I feel it too. You get used to it."

He peeked out of the room. "We should find Kuldrak."

"That seems like a bad idea." She grunted as she pulled herself up.

"He has our Ghosts. Wants to keep them as pets. He has... issues."

"What's a Ghost? I'm assuming it's not the kind that hide in abandoned houses and go 'boo!'."

"You'll know them when you see them." He grabbed her hand with one of his lower and began to sprint. She was surprised she was able to keep up with him.

They were in some sort of cave network, possibly an old mine. Everything was unnaturaly quiet, devoid of any other aliens. The place had a sour smell, not an unbereable one, a sort of acidic sour. The walls were littered with alien graffiti, usually having a spike motiff. Scrap metal was scattered everywhere.

"Exscuse me," she said to him, "do you have a name?"

He gave her a glance, "Xandar."

Xandar stopped as they heard some chatter. They hid behind a corner as a group of aliens went by.

"Our Ghosts are right by Kuldrak up on the surface. Let's keep moving, it's not far." Xandar led her further up, having to duck away to avoid detection.

They seemed to reach a large chamber and at one end, was the biggest and most important looking of the aliens. He seemed to be chasing some floating object, attempting to grab it.

"Get away from me!"

The floating thing seemed capable of speech, using a masculine, strong British-English accent. It had hovered just out of the alien's reach and seemed to 'stare' directly at her, then zoomed right up to her.

"Ah! M'lady, it is a pleasure to meet you!" It spun part of it's outer shell around. The geometric shell was white, though it had a few dents and scratches. The shell covered a spherical core with a single square blue 'eye'. Overall, it was kind of cute. A bit formal, but cute. She assumed this was a 'Ghost'.

There was an angry yowl and she turned to see Xandar wrestling with the big alien. She saw that the big alien had a tight grip on another Ghost, which was struggling against it.

She suddenly heard something, and turned around to see another alien charge at her with a knife. She stumbled out of the way only to be pushed into annother. She was pushed around untill she and Xandar were surrounded in the center of the chamber.

"Kuldrak thought you make good pets."

The large alien began speaking. She noticed that part of his face was severely burned, a large black scar. She remembered Xandar mentioning something about how she did it to him.

"But Kuldrak not happy if my pets run."

Xandar cursed under his breath, "Damn, There's too many. Look, i'm sorry kid."

She pulled her Ghost towards her and held it close to her chest.

It shook its shell, "Ah! Pardon me, but do you have a name? It's perfectly fine if you can't think of one now."

'Name? Now?' She thought. They were probably going to die, and the Ghost wanted her name? She tried to focus, 'Mi... no. No. N-, Nic, Nicole. Nicole? Yes, that sounds right.'

"It's Nicole, I think." She whispered.

"Ah, how lovely!" The ghost spun its shell, "Now we just need a way out of this and..."

That 'way out' had just manifested itself as a bullet peircing through Kuldrak's skull. He fell backward, his fists opening, alnd the other Ghost wiggled free and zoomed to to Xandar's side.

"I'm okay, everything's okay." It said with a feminine voice.

All eyes turned to the source of the shot. Standing on a large boulder was a rather young looking woman with short, wild blue hair. She had light armor, and a sort of patchwork cloak.

"Oh, h-hey Jayden!" Xandar's Ghost chirped.

Jayden jumped down and a large group of aliens charged at her. They would compleatly overwhelm her. Jayden summoned what looked like a bolt of lightning and swung it at her attackers, completly vaporizing them.

The energizing feeling intensified with every alien that fell to Jayden's bolt. Nicole felt her hands shaking, burning. Diddn't Xandar mention this was normal? Her heart was racing. She flexed her fingers.

Was there a small spark in the palm of her hand? Nicole focused, breathing heavily. The spark began pulling in the strange energy, growing in size and intensity.

The energy was intense, so much that Nicole's feet were about a foot from the ground. Whatever she was doing, it was warping gravity.

Through the intensity of the moment, Nicole realized her strange-ball-of-black-hole-stuff was probably reaching its limit, and being right next to it would be a very bad idea. With one last burst of energy, she used both hands to push it away, and prayed that it wouldn't compleatly eff-up the universe.

As she was thrown back from the intensity, the last thing she saw before passing out was a burst of satisfying violet chaos.

Yay I wrote something! This might get continued if my lazyness doesn't consume me XD
