Slaying and Playing
by Zzilly14
Buffy stared at the vampire who just attacked her. "You play rough, huh? I'll show you rough." She started towards her opponent, her weapon ready.
"I don't want to play rough, Slayer," he sneered as he vamped out. "I just want to play."
Buffy lunged and easily pinned him down to the ground. She raised her stake and...
began to laugh. "I win... again!"
"Bloody hell," Spike moaned.
"Face it. I kicked your ass. I will always kick your ass. I am the kicking-ass master. Anyone who..."
Her ego trip was interrupted by chuckles.
"What?"
"Superman could kick your ass."

...
"But Superman's a good guy," Buffy wondered. "Why would I want to kick his ass?"
"For a bit of fun, I suppose," Spike replied as Buffy helped him up.
"If I wanted fun, I'd go party. I don't hurt people for fun."
Spike pointed at his sore shoulder.
"You're not people."
"And Superman is? He's not human. That's why he'd kick your ass."
"I'd like to see him try," she snorted.
He shook his head. "He can't. You know why? Because he's not real."
"You were the one who brought him up!"
"It's called 'playing with your mind,'" he snickered.
