What's In A Name
Aqualad was Kaldur.
Kid Flash was Wally
Miss Martian was Megan
Artemis was Artemis
And though he did not know Robin's name, he new the boy had one.
He was The Superboy. It wasn't a name, it was a description.
Because he was not a person, he was a weapon. Even these days, in Young Justice, he was a weapon ordered around, first by Batman and later by Kaldur on Missions. They were just nicer about it. They did not use mind control. And when he was done he could chose what he wanted to watch on tv.
He was a clone of Superman.
Superman, who was Kal-El.
Superman who would not acknowledge him. Superman who had a human name Superboy did not know.
Real boys got names.
But he was not a real boy.
A/N- Just an idea that hit me this morning. I know he will one day be Conner/Kon-El, but they haven't addressed it yet, and because they have made a point of his relationship with Superman and his lack of an Earth Name, I will assume he had not gotten it yet.
