DISCLAIMER: I own NOTHING.
A/N: Twincest alert so if you are not into that please don't flame just turn back now. There is also a Six Feet Under reference that some of you might not get. Basically the ghost of Nate told Brenda to run off with her brother Billy because he knew they were in love. Okay hope that helps. Please R/R. Thanks so much. I'm working on some more D/F stories. I'm doing a few from Fiona's POV. Mwah!
I could feel the light scratch of her robin egg blue painted fingernails combing through the short hair at the back of my neck. I thought she had fallen asleep. I let out a content sigh and pulled her slim body closer to mine. Her fingers started tracing imaginary patterns along my chest and in return I placed tiny kisses all over the crown of her head and her beautiful face. It wasn't until a few minutes later when I pulled back and saw her expression that I felt my heart squeeze inside of my chest. She looked like an angel who had just gotten one of her wings torn off.
"Fiona?" I said concerned. She didn't answer me. instead she buried her face into my shoulder and squeezed onto my arm like I would disappear at any second. "Fiona, what's wrong?"
She finally looked up at me our faces only centimeters apart. "How long can we keep doing this, Declan?"
I raised my eyebrows in confusion. "Doing what."
She scoffed like I was a complete moron and at that moment I probably was considering the events that had taken place shortly before. All of the blood had not yet returned to my brain.
"Declan, you know this can't last forever. We graduate soon. We are going to be going off to different universities. We are the children of a diplomat. People are going to expect us to meet their well bred stock and end up getting married and having kids. There are people who expect things from us, Declan. Us... we can't do this forever."
I knew exactly what she meant but that didn't stop my heart from crumbling. We couldn't be together forever but I didn't give a damn right then. "Screw what other people expect from us, Fiona. I don't want to meet some snotty rich bitch and settle down and have kids. I want to be with you."
"How?" She sat up and I went along with her.
"I don't know we'll run off together. We can empty out our trust funds and just go. We can go somewhere where nobody knows us and no one will find us and just be together."
"How dramatically Six Feet Under of us." She rolled her eyes.
I placed my hand on her chin and moved her face until she was looking at me again. "We will find a way, Fiona, because as far as I'm concerned life without you isn't a life worth living. I need you and fuck it if I sound selfish but I WILL have you."
A tiny smile broke out across her mouth. She quickly pinned me down until she was lying on top of me, her raven hair hiding us from the rest of the world. "Feeling possessive are we Mr. Coyne?"
"When it comes to you." I wrapped my arms around her relishing the feel of her silk skin against mine. "ALWAYS."
She leaned down and I met her halfway our lips locking in a kiss that promised we would find a way.
THE END
