This is based off of the short skit in Keterburg, so I apologize for its shortness.

Nostalgic Memories

"Why do you dislike Dist so much?" Luke asked, his wide green eyes staring innocently at my own red ones.

"Yeah, what did he do against you, Colonel?" Little Anise chimed in, the look in her eyes a perfect replica of Luke's.

Closing my eyes, I straightened my glasses before replying. "He was always following me and being very irritating. One winter, when we were young, I went skating with Nephry and Peony."

It was one winter over 20 years ago. Professor Nebilim had already dismissed us for the day. Nephry, Peony, and I had made plans earlier for this afternoon; we were going to go skating. The lake had just frozen long enough for people to skate on. Shortly after arriving there, Nephry was skating, twirling and twisting, while Peony watched her with much rapture, almost crashing into another skater.

"Come on, brother, hurry up and join us!" called Nephry after making a particularly high jump. Peony cheered.

"I'm coming!" Quickly tying the laces tightly, I glided after my sister, who was starting another loop.

Halfway through the lake, someone called me.

"Then he showed up, having followed us there. But the idiot couldn't skate. He fell and came sliding towards me."

"With the blades pointing at you?" Anise's eyes widened further as she clapped a hand over her mouth.

"Yes, with the blades pointing at me."

"Jade!" An annoying, nasally voice yelled.

I stopped and turned to see who called, though I had guessed from the voice. And, behold, Saphir was clambering through the snow towards the frozen lake, brand new skates dangling from his left hand. I watched him as he fumbled to get the skates on. Starting off again, I attempted to get away from him and catch up with the other two.

"I've finally found you!--Eeeaaaugh!"

My head whipped back to his direction and my eyes had widened as I witnessed the fool step onto the ice and immediately lose his footing. He couldn't skate! Screaming, Saphir fell and was sliding towards me with the blades of his skates pointed squarely at me. I would not have enough time to get out of the way.

"I used a fonic arte to melt a hole in the ice and he fell into it, screaming, splashing, and making a big fuss."

Gathering fonons within my body, I concentrated them into a quick spell. When the sliding boy was 10 feet away, I unleashed the spell and a ball of fire formed to melt a hole in the ice. Saphir landed right in the hole into the freezing water below. Flailing his arms and panicking, he screamed for someone to help him. Smirking, I skated over to Nephry and Peony. Other skaters converged on the (drowning) boy and proceeded to pull him out. They then chastised him for attempting to skate to fast since he didn't know how. Signaling to the other two for us, we quietly exited the skating area.

All the while, Saphir had been screaming, "Curse you, Jade! I'll get you for this! Just you wait!" His nose had probably been running as well.

"Sigh The other skaters blamed it onto his lack of skating experience."

"Isn't it your fault too? I mean, you did…." Luke was looking very skeptically at me.

"What do you mean? It was his own fault. If he hadn't tried to follow me, he wouldn't have gotten wet."

"…" Nobody said anything.

"Let us be moving on then."

I was kinda bored when I wrote this. I'd just played to this part and this skit just kinda stuck in my head. Anyways, R&R if you wish.
