Summary: Lizzy has a bad day, Robert has fun!
"My, my Lizzy. You do scrub up well!"
"Ha ha Robert, very funny."
Romano walked into the scrub room where Elizabeth was washing her hands and arms.
"Good morning to you too"
"Robert, your sense of humour and pathetic attempts at comedy will get you nowhere this morning."
They walked into the OR where a young man lay unconscious on the table.
Romano smirked, "Knock knock!"
"I'm not in the mood." Elizabeth was deadly serious.
"Aww come on, for me. Knock knock!"
"Who's there?" she sighed defeatedly.
"Jared Miles."
"Jared Miles who?"
"Wake up Lizzy, we're operating on him. I thought you'd at least remember his name."
"Robert pay attention. I'm not in the mood." Elizabeth repeated.
"Oh hey. What's up? Loverboy not giving you enough love?"
"Mark and I are just fine thank you. It's Ella keeping me up at night."
"So loverboy isn't giving you any!! How is the little angel?"
"Well apart from the ecstasy overdose she just endured she'd fine. Thanks for your concern."
"Oh I wasn't concerned, merely making conversation."
He delved into the patient's chest and pulled out a small silver bullet.
"Gotcha!" he shouted triumphantly.
"Robert, you are so childish."
"Lizzy, you are so serious." he says in a mock British accent.
She shakes her head in dismay and concentrates on patching up the young man on the table. She doesn't notice Robert walk away and talk to the OR nurse.
Suddenly the room fills with music and Robert just grins. Elizabeth turns to one of the assisting surgeons.
"Could you close please?"
Then she turns back around to see Robert stood by the table, scalpel in one hand forceps in the other singing along with the words.
"Always look on the bright side of life, doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo. Always look on the bright side of life."
Elizabeth grinned. Then laughed.
"See, I knew I could make you laugh today. It can't be that bad Lizzy."
