The Cactus
Summary: Saanvi knows it's wrong to fall in love with a man who is married and with children no less, but she couldn't help herself especially now when Ben was holding out a cactus for her with the biggest smile on his face.

"Hey!"Saanvi turned sharply when she heard Ben's familiar voice, a smile formed on her lips, she felt her heart race in her chest, she didn't know when it happened, how her feelings for Ben grew like this, maybe it was the first time they spoke? First time they shook hands? She wasn't sure. She saw the look in his eyes, the brightness that sparkled, it only caused her heart race more.
"Hey Saanvi..how is he?"Saanvi glanced over to the room that Cal was currently now resting after a long day that he had fighting a fever, Grace almost having a panic attack, she was ready to just go home and sleep on her comfy bed, even though she did love her work.
"He's fine now, resting. Grace finally calmed down as well and is resting with him...thankfully."She murmured under her breath. Ben chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well..I got you something..as a thank you for putting up with me, and also for helping me with investigating, You didn't have to do that, I know how busy you can be during the day."Ben said shyly as he handed her a small planted cactus, a smile formed on Saanvi's ips as she took the plant from him.
"Thank you Ben..it's perfect."She pulled the plant closer to her chest. Ben felt his cheeks turn pink, he knew it was wrong too find another woman beautiful other than his wife, but he couldn't help it, Saanvi was beautiful in her own way, she made him feel as though he was normal unlike Grace who made him feel like he was going crazy.
"It's no problem Saanvi...I saw it and I thought of you..and you've done so much for me and my family..it's the least I could do.."He moved closer and wrapped his arms around her.
Saanvi hesitated, moving the cactus away from the two of them, she wrapped her arm around Ben, another smile formed on her lips.
"Ben?"Ben pulled away when he heard Grace's voice coming from the room. He chuckled softly and rubbed his neck. "I should go see how Cal is doing.. um.. I'll see you again for his next appointment?"Saanvi nodded and watched as Ben went into Cal's room.
She glanced down at the cactus in her hands, her feelings were wrong, they were so wrong..but why did she feel as though they were right for each other? She watched as Ben shifted onto Cal's bed, her heart leaped in her chest at the sight.
