Dream Kiss

Let me just say that this was not written by me. It was written by an AWESOME friend of mine. His name is Nick W. So credit goes to him.

I didn't edit or change anything to the poem. OK. The poem was based on the quote in the beginning. I'm pretty sure that some of us can relate to the quote. I know I do.

I know it's quite short, but I believed that his poem was deep and just AWESOME. You may not agree, but you can't please everyone.

Gale. A me story?

OtA. Nope! It's a Katniss/Peeta one where you feel bad and I'm happy about that.

Katniss. You killed my sister.

Gale. I'm sorry!

Peeta. OtA doesn't own the Hunger Games Trilogy characters, the poem, and the quote.

So this is in Gale's POV. And I hope you like it.

"When a girl wants a kiss they stare into your eyes biting their lip. They wrap their arms around you. They play with their hands waiting for you to make a move.
When a guy wants a kiss they hold your hand and play with it. They stare into your eyes for a long time slowly getting closer.
When I want a kiss I stare at her from a distance and sob uncontrollably because I am ugly and no one likes me."

I saw her across the room,
She stared in my eyes, I Stared back,
She bit her lip, I took a drink,
She came and wrapped her arms around me

I took her hand, to stop her
from playing with it, So I could,
I moved closer to her, slowly but with purpose,
I never looked away from her eyes

Then, the tension in the air was released,
as we kissed while embracing each other,
it was then that I snapped out of it,
I looked up from my corner, saw them kissing

And cried, wherever I saw her,
I couldn't go near, I couldn't stare,
I couldn't even walk by, without crying.
So I died, a lonely death, inside me.
