A/N: A few weeks ago, I compared Klaus and Caroline to Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett on my tumblr page. I got a lot of positive feedback from it. So, I decided to go ahead and write a little drabble about it. I hope you guys like it!

Klaus walked inside Mystic Grill to find Caroline sitting by herself at a table. He noticed that she was reading a book. Being the curious guy that he was, he walked over and peered at the cover, and saw that she was reading Pride and Prejudice.

Klaus asked, "Is that business or pleasure?"

"Excuse me?" asked Caroline, looking up from her book.

"I asked you if you were reading Pride and Prejudice for business or pleasure?" Klaus said.

Caroline answered, "Oh, well, for pleasure. It's one of my favorite books. I love it."

"You've got good taste," Klaus replied.

"Wait a minute. Are you telling me that "Big Bad Klaus" has read Pride and Prejudice?" asked Caroline, looking shocked.

Klaus answered, "Of course I have. I've read thousands of books in my lifetime. The classics are always good to read."

Caroline shook her head and said, "You never cease to surprise me."

"Good," Klaus smirked. He pulled out a chair, and sat down across from her. He continued, "So, which character do you relate the most with in the book?"

Caroline didn't have to think twice about that. She answered, "Definitely Elizabeth Bennett. I see a lot of myself in her."

Klaus replied, "I agree. You're beautiful, strong, smart, loyal, opinionated, stubborn, and my favorite-sassy."

Caroline could feel her whole face turning hot red. It was amazing what his words could do to her. She tried to change the subject and asked, "What about you? Which character do you relate the most with?"

Klaus answered, "I've always seen myself as a Mr. Darcy kind of man. We're both wealthy, cultured, proud…"

"Are you kidding me? You are no Mr. Darcy. If anything, you're Mr. Wickham. You look and talk the part of a gentleman, but you definitely don't act the part. You don't mind destroying people's lives just to get your way. You're always looking out for yourself, and not others," Caroline said.

"Hold on a second. I will admit that I am a selfish being for the most part. However, just like Mr. Darcy, I value my family above all others. I truly care about them," Klaus said.

Caroline replied, "I guess that's true…"

Klaus continued, "And unlike Mr. Wickham, I'm actually making an effort to be better. I mean, you have to have noticed that I'm a better person when I'm around you."

"Yes, I have noticed that," Caroline said, unable to suppress a smile.

"See, I'm not all bad. I'm more like Mr. Darcy than you think," Klaus said. As he stood up to leave, he added, "We're just at the halfway mark of our Pride and Prejudice story. Things only look up from here." He winked at her, and walked away.

Caroline shook her head as she watched him leave. Again, she was unable to suppress a smile.
