He's good at what he does. He has the highest track record on the force, and I can't deny that he has brought in criminals that we've been hunting for years within the first day of being put on the case. He's good at what he does. It's how he does it that I don't like.
He's ruthless. He's not afraid to act like the people he's bringing in. but he's to good for my to get rid of without looking like a bad guy myself… so I'm sending him after the mobs.
If I'm lucky, giving him the case file will be the last time I'll ever have to see him. I smile at the thought, but quickly erase it from my face as I near the bounty hunter.
He looks up from the ender purl he was rolling around on his desk, when I approach. He looks at the case file in my hand and I try not to flinch when he stands and approaches me. I hand him the file and he takes it without question. I can only hope that he didn't notice my shaking hands.
He skims through it and nods. He smiles as he places the file on his desk. I can only guess its because he likes the challenge.
I go to leave; not wanting to stay any longer than necessary, but something stops me at the door. Perhaps it's the thought that this really might be the last time I see the man, but I turn back and say one last thing before leaving the room.
"Good luck, Rythian."
He's good at what he does. I don't really know what it is he does, but honeydew seems pleased with the profits. As long as honeydew is happy then what ever he does is fine. Besides, it's not my place.
I've been sent to deal with a bounty hunter honeydew doesn't like poking around, and he decided to tag along. I don't know why, and I don't care. Honeydew said he might be able to help but I don't see why I would need it. It's a simple execution.
I spot the hunter, Rythian Enderborn if I remember correctly, and I turn to my temporary partner. I explain the plan, and his part in it, and he nods in understanding. He wishes me luck and though I don't see a reason for luck I return the gesture.
"Good luck, Lalna."
