A/N: This is a little scene between Molly and her brother Gideon. It's for the Insane House challenge character prompt Gideon Prewett. It's 341 words.
Gideon sat in his favourite chair at The Burrow holding his nephew. He could not believe that his little sister was already a mother. Although, it really shouldn't be a shock to him at all.
Molly had been courted by Arthur Weasley since their fifth year at Hogwarts, and it was no surprise when they announced their engagement less than six months after graduating Hogwarts.
The family knew that the war beginning in the Wizarding World had played a part in their decision to marry early, but nobody objected to it. The couple were clearly in love and it was clearly the next step for them.
"How is he?" Molly asked quietly.
"Sleeping at the moment," Gideon replied.
"He does a lot of that," she said.
"How are you, Molly?" he asked, looking up at her.
"I'm a little tired, but apart from that I'm fine."
"Arthur doing his bit?"
"As much as he can with a full time job. We take it in turns to get up in the night at weekends, but most of the time he needs a feed so it's easier if I get up. Arthur spends all day fussing over the both of us. Think that he wants to remind me how much he loves us despite having to work all the time," Molly admitted.
Gideon snorted.
"There is no way anyone could say that he doesn't love you, Molly. Everything he does is to provide a happy, stable home for you and Bill. I am glad that he makes an effort to show it though."
They lapsed into a comfortable silence broken a few minutes later by Bill's cries.
"Let me take him. He's probably hungry," she said walking over and holding her arms out.
"I should get going then," he said kissing her cheek, "Owl me if you need anything. I will always be there."
"Thank you, Gideon."
"You don't have to thank me. Your my sister, I'd do anything for you," he said before throwing Floo powder into the fireplace and disappearing home.
