I was thinking of chapter ideas for my stories and bam, this popped out of nowhere. I knew it couldn't be multi-chaptered, or even a proper one-shot, ergo the drabble. Hope you enjoy it.
When Angelina first got engaged to George, she dreaded the idea of planning a wedding.
One day, she saw a book on hers and George's bed, but knew either one of them didn't own it. Hesitantly, she read a page and smiled, knowing exactly what kind of wedding George would want.
On their wedding day, George was the element of surprise. He hadn't seen any of the groomsmen or wedding guests, but, when he was in his room, he was surprised when he saw the note on his bed, with Angelina forgetting his wedding robes and he should just wear his own clothes. George was confused but, did it anyway.
So, when it was time for him to go downstairs, he saw there was no Marquee up in the garden, all the groomsmen and wedding guests were in casual attireā¦and his mum had been permanently charmed to her chair and a Silencing Charm was placed on her.
George suddenly got what Angelina meant, as Fred's words from Bill and Fleur's wedding filled his ears. For the first time since the Second Wizarding War, the red-head laughed a real, honest laugh and, as he saw his beautiful future-wife walk up the aisle in a simple, yet elegant white summer dress, he looked up to the sky and mumbled a thank-you to his brother and best friend, and felt his true best man beside him, knowing Fred would be there with him, forever.
