It was subtle at first. Almost unnoticed.
It started with aging. Growing taller, graceful, beautiful.
Like in a competition he grew along with you. Handsome, muscular; a basketball player that all the girls liked to fawn at.
It annoyed you… He annoyed you.
Not because he always showed you his cocky smile (you refused to believe it was gentle and longing) whenever you looked at him.
Perhaps it was because that you no longer had a reason to hate him (yes, all the devotion of hatred belonged to Tsukiyomi Ikuto alone now, the one you stole Amu from her best friend).
Neither was the fact that you felt goose-bumps whenever you touched (accidently, of course), your heart speed-up when he looked at you with those amber eyes (they look like Amu's, you say) or even how your heart skips a beat whenever he forces you to dance with him (is it really just because you feel embarrassed of your dancing skills?).
Maybe, just maybe it was because you knew you grew to love him, changing how you felt about him indefinitely.
...and that alone scared you.
This is my entry for the SCDays contest being held by Futari Wa Pretty Anon Scanlations. I would like some feedback either way. Never wrote a story so fast; it makes me feel awkward (meh).
Anyway, I'm kinda in a half-hiatus for the time being. Only entries I'll be doing for a while are one-shots.
