Vincent stared out the window of the airship, admiring the ice as they flew above it. Frozen in time and splendor, he pondered the monsters and beings alike that lived amongst the ice, did they realize the gem they walked upon? The smooth crystals shined in the ice like diamonds, he sighed. Perhaps romanticizing the ice wasn't the most entertaining part of the day after all; he did share a team with Yuffie and Cid that alone was eventful enough for the antisocial one. Many a question floated through his head, as he began to compare himself to the ice. Did ice feel empty on the inside, merely because it was cold? Did it feel pain when parts of it were carved out by some uncaring being?
Vincent's cape fluttered slightly as Yuffie bounced to a halt. It nearly knocked him out of his awestruck state. He glanced over at the ninja, admiring her with the same eyes, same feelings. Yuffie was as unique as the ice, as interesting, and perhaps, in the best way possible, just as cold. Maybe someday, she'd notice him with the same look, but for the moment, he'd stick with his romanticized thoughts of ice.
"Damn it," She swore at the window, Vincent would have inquired what was pushing her buttons, so to speak, but Yuffie didn't wait. Not that it was ever expected for Yuffie to wait. "Cid won't turn the fuckin' A/C off!"
"It's not that cold," Vincent glanced, trying to calm Yuffie off her rage. "We'll be back to the desert soon anyway."
"Look Vincent, don't try and work your calming powers on me! God damn it, you have a cape and I don't even have a fucking jacket."
Vincent laughed to himself as the girl shivered slightly, feeling slightly worrisome for the scantily clad girl, he held out part of his cape, getting an inquiring glance from Yuffie.
"Well?" Vincent pushed. "You want to stay cold?"
"N-No!" She slid under the cape draping it around her and staring up at Vincent. He thought they would have blushed at the closeness of their bodies, if they had enough sense to. "Er, thanks."
