A/N: Ok, this is odd, from Harry's point of view, inane and vaguely poetic rambling…

I could stand

In the falling light of this falling time

And live to see what you thought I could be

But that's all for the hero and the hero's parade

At the bitter end of the darkening day

So you see I have hidden under layers of thoughtlessness

For the world that does not expect thought

Merely smile and nod and do as you are expected

And no one will ask any questions

And they're not to know

The fear of death that truly does bite my thoughts

Fanged fear eats at my consciousness

I truly fear death above all things

But so does he

And he's right in the end of all things

We are much the same, him and I

That we know not that noble thought

Of having no fear

And living for others and never ourselves

We are much the same, him and I

And if they ask me

Where did I go?

I will tell them that I went

To the valley of shadow and walked under pillars of towering fear

Only to return to the hero's golden podium

To see the gold flaking and the tarnished metal underneath

Quietly rusting away at the end of the day

See we are much the same, him and I

For we know the secret

The secret that no one else suspects

That it's all a façade at the end of the falling day

Everything they told you was a lie

The only difference really

Is that he

Could live without the lie.

Review because you love me really?
