The country of Rhodesia, a moderate-sized island in the North Sea, off the coast of Norway, was discovered by British explorers in the year 1884. England immediatly claimed her as a new colony and inducted her into the British Empire.
Growing up, Rhodesia, then named Elizabeth Kirkland, was rather isolated from the rest of the countries, due to England's fear of losing her. She aged rather rapidly for a nation, achieving the human age of sixteen by the year 1918. At this time, Elizabeth's desire for freedom to do as she pleased and to have control over her own affairs. Though she cared for her older brother figure, she knew she would have to break his heart in order to be free.
On June 26, 1925, after running away from England's house, Rhodesia formally declared independence and assumed the human name Kylie Elizabeth Greene. Fearing England's reaction, she quickly asked for support from America, who agreed to help her if she was attacked; however, England did nothing as it was so soon after the Great War.
Rhodesia moved back to her own home, where she lived in peace for four years, until the Great Depression hit. Her economy was destroyed and left her extremely weak by the time World War II rolled around. Because of this, she was annexed by the Axis Powers and moved into Germany's house.
Rather than pity her position, Rhodesia used the opportunity to get to know her fellow countries. As she was annexed in 1940, she remained at Germany's house until her country was liberated by the Allies in 1944.
World War II was an eye-opener for her; having grown up knowing only England and being kept ignorant of the affairs of the other countries, war was something she had never experianced before.
The after-affects of the War caused her to draw herself into a somewhat isolation again until the 1950's, when America managed to coax her back into the open.
Now that she was attending World Meetings again, Rhodesia learned of the Cold War between America and Russia. At first, she declared neutrality in the matter, claiming she did not want to anger either side, but when her army shot down a Russian spy plane violating her airspace, she soon pledged her support to America.
The two dated briefly during this time, starting in 1953 and lasting until 1960, when she confessed she no longer wanted her country involved in his war with Russia.
During the 1960's and 70's, Rhodesia focased on her economy and her culture. She had a particular fascination with Spain, the Italy brothers, and Greece. She spent much of her time learning about their histories and spending time with them.
By 1980, she had a new ally, Italy; in fact, this new alliance allowed her to gain a new relationship, this time with the southern half of Italy, Romano. Their time together was a bit longer than her relationship with America, lasting from 1981 to 1993, when she realized her boyfriend's feelings for Spain and ended their relationship to allow him to pursue his feelings; in return, the pair made her godmother to their child, Marcus Vargas-Carriedo.
Since her last break up, Rhodesia has started a relationship with England or all people, after he revealed he'd had feelings for her since she left him all those years ago.
