Calla Lilly, Guardian of Beauty

Date Chosen by Man in Moon: April 18, 2011

Species: Human-Butterfly Hybrid

Name Origin: From the flower "Calla Lily", but spelled differently to match Calla's uniqueness as a Spring spirit, and as a Guardian.

Backstory: Originally known as Becky in her past life before she was chosen, this young girl was just two days away from turning 17.

She was in her sophomore year of high school, but, despite seeing the beauty in those around her, Becky failed to see the beauty in herself, as she had been bullied in high school for her size, looks, and goody-two-shoes attitude.

Little did she know, the Guardians were watching her even as she lost all hope, wonder, dreams and memories as she threw herself off of the top of the school, killing herself.

The Man in the Moon chose her soon after to spread beauty all over the world by spreading Spring, naming her Calla Lilly. A romance soon blossomed – pun intended – between Calla and E. Aster Bunnymund (more commonly known as the Easter Bunny), the Guardian of Hope. Together, these two spread Springtime on every continent, bringing hope and beauty with them.

Bunnymund knows of Calla's troubled past, and never fails to kiss her self-harm scars every night before they go to bed.
