Here is an age and child count list, only because telling you all how old the kids are during the story seems so boring lol, also Emily and Aaron have been together since Emily was 18 and Hotch was 24, Emily then getting pregnant a while later.

Emily is 38 and Aaron is 44

James is the eldest at 19

Amber is 16

The twins are both 14, Alex and Jordan, both girls too

and last Jack is just turning 3

Emily sighed as she fixed her curls for the tenth time that afternoon, 'why are you the one nervous?' she told herself.

It was her youngest son's birthday party and she decided to through a pool party in the backyard, as well as inviting all her friends who had kids around Jack's age. Hearing the doorbell go off and the heavy footsteps from her eldest son, Emily took one last look in the mirror. 'Party time' she smiled and went over to Jack who was playing with dinosaurs on her bed.

"Are you ready baby?" Emily asked swinging him into her arms.

"Swimming time!"

"Yup and all your friends are coming too, plus your aunts and uncles."

"Will daddy be here?" Jack asked his mother, as she made her way out of the room and down the stairs.

"Yes he will be honey, he's bring the twins with him." She forced herself not to say 'and his whore too' but instead smiled at the boy looking at her with joy in his eyes as they reached the end of the staircase.

"There's my birthday boy!"

"Uncle Sean!" Jack leaped from his mother's arms into his uncles, who tossed him into the air and back down again, making Jack giggle.

"Sean, how are you?" Emily smiled and hugged her former brother in law.

"Just fine Em, how are you?" He asked once putting Jack down to go and say hi to his friends.

"Well Aaron will be here soon with the girls, he's also bring along his tram- I mean girlfriend." she gripped out.

Sean hugged the older women, "You know I'm always here for you Em, why he's bring her I'll never know but if you need some to talk to or to just cry with, I'm here."

"I know and thank you, you have really helped a lot around here. But really I'm ok, I'm ready to meet her."

"I can see that, what with you in a two piece and heels." He laughed looking at Emily's outfit.

She was in fact wearing a blood red two-piece, with a black see through wrap around her waist. She had on black pumps and black sunglasses holding her hair back.

"I know this is a kids party and I should be wearing something more appropriate for the events going on, but he's bring his girlfriend to my house and well I need to look hot." Emily said shyly.

"Don't feel bad about that Em, you'll always be hot, trying or not, but I get where this is coming from. Mom did the same thing every time she had to meet one of dad's girlfriends." Emily nodded, feeling better that she wasn't crazy for wanted to make the new girl jealous.

It had only been a year since Emily and Aaron had been divorced. But a year and a half since they had had a horrible fight, which drove him to the bar and into someone else's bed. Of course they still loved each other deeply but Emily could never get over what he did and although Aaron tried his best to fix everything, she still filed for divorce and kicked him out of the house. After that Emily gave up her job at the BAU and, with the help of mostly Erin, is now the head Dean at the F.B.I Academy.

Once Aaron's mother Ann had learned of what her son had done, she moved into the house to help out Emily. She stopped talking to her eldest for sometime, her own demons coming back from the time her husband had done just that. Ann had thought that she had taught her boys to be better then their father, but sadly, she was wrong.

Sean also coming to Emily's side often cooked dinner for everyone or helping his mother with the kids when Emily just wanted to be alone. He had become a rock for her and now they were the best of friends.

"Let me guess, he's bring his girlfriend?" Ann said knowingly after looking at her daughter in laws outfit, she pulled Emily into a hug as she made her way in.

"Hi Ann and yes he is" Emily said, hugging the older women tightly.

"Everyone should be here soon, Jack is playing with some friends who came early." Emily said as she walked Ann out to the yard.

Soon the party was really starting; the team had shown up with gifts of all sizes and the rest of Jacks friends were playing in the bouncer with him. Emily found herself in the kitchen with Garcia, JJ and Erin who were helping make food and decorate the cake for later.

"What time should the twins be here?" JJ asked while writing 'Happy Birthday Jack' in frosting.

"Well from what Amber told me, Alex said that they were going to pick up Aaron's girlfriend and then head over and be here by 2:45."

She looked at the clock, 2:40, "So any minute really."

Just then the doorbell rang, Emily stopped cutting fruit and wiped her hands on a towel. The girls gave her a look of sympathy and let Emily walk to the door.

Looking at herself one more time in the mirror, Emily took a deep breath and opened the door.
